Decent app, disappointing customer service

This is a solid catalog app; it’s fairly intuitive, and easier to use than some of the competitors. However, the customer service is woefully disappointing. If you’re planning on switching to CatalogIt from an existing system, you’ll want to reconsider. I registered with the service and needed assistance migrating my existing data. I was told that it would take a month or so, but knowing how service queues can work, I figured that would be ok. But six weeks later, I can’t get any one at CatalogIt to respond to my requests for timing updates. I’m very disappointed, and can’t recommend switching to this service from one of their competitors.

HELPPPP!

I bought the $149 sub... now there is no button to add any entries!!! I would like a refund or be able to add entries...

Was REALLY liking this app but not if I'm paying to not add anything...

Expensive

Deceptive pricing. This is shown as a free app, but after several days of use (or 50 items), I got an email stating if I don’t pay a subscription my data will be locked!

The subscription is $15 a months or $150 a year!

Max items to list is limited to 2500 item (with paid subscription). That seems very limiting just for my home collection.

You are also limited to 50GB.

You can export to Excel, so that’s positive.

Thumbs down for not being open and honest about pricing.

Sneaky charge, waste of time

Makes no mention of a limit when I'm spending hours uploading, but weeks later emails me that I've uploaded over the limit, and now I have to pay a subscription fee that starts at $15

Won’t work

I experienced some sort of error when entering the verification code, but received an email saying my account had been set up. Now whenever I try logging in I just get a spinning wheel. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, but no luck. Not a good first impression.

Great app

I think that this App is wonderful. I have been waiting for something exactly like this for a long time. It is easy to use, and it is formatted in a way that you can organize collections in no time with just the basic categorization or get as detailed as you want. You get to enter I think 50 items in your collection for free and then you need a subscription.

Better Than Past Perfect

I’m the collections manager at a fine arts museum. I have moved from Past Perfect to CatalogIt for a couple of reasons. First, it is really convenient having our entire collection in my back pocket. Many times I have pulled up photos of a painting or sculpture during an off-site meeting. Second, I like the interface on my laptop. It’s intuitive and not nearly as clunky as other, similar apps. My only complaint is that CatalogIt on my phone freezes up occasionally and I have to delete the app and reinstall it.

Great app

Looking at recent reviews I was disappointed but decided to give the app a try. I’ve been using it for a few hours now cataloging my coins. Now I used an app called snupps but they went under and no longer have servers open so I’d need to find a app replacement fast that is similar to theirs. This is the app you can have multiple pictures and I love how you can add captions to the pics and descriptions separate.

One thing I’d say is when cropping a picture in general sometimes it glitches the box u crop with and it goes away then u have to double tap to get it back. No biggie little problem I noticed.

Next when cropping a picture for an extra photo u could say to have that’s not he cover photo I wish the final crop would keep the actual size instead of zooming in on it makes u have to guess and check the crop u r doing till u get it right.

Other then great app I’m gonna be using it a lot I love it 5 stars

Missing Regions

Is there a reason why in your ethnography drop down menu, major regions such as Middle East ( itself comprised of many sub cultures); Central Asia; India , etc. ?

Very limited free version

The info page fails to mention that the app allows only 100 items, and they charge $120 per year for more. It also says it supports data and image imports, but does not say you have to work with their staff to make that happen - it’s not DIY. Abandoned without using because of those aspects and the non-disclosure of them.

No good way to export art

It is nice that it is free until 100 entries but there’s no easy and good way to export your database. The exported database does not include photos.

Great App

Great app if you collect or sell antiques and such items. But they should have a system where a catalog, QR code or Inventory number is automatically assigned as per catagory. Also if you could print it out it would be awesome! Right now I’m using two other apps along with this one and it’s a hassle. I would definitely pay “pro” version if they had that in the app.

Warning: Undisclosed fees ahead!

Have to agree with other one star reviewers that pricing is deceiving. I don’t object to the developers right to charge for their services, but didn’t appreciate the surprise. Since they think those services are worth more than I do this app was immediately deleted. Include the fees in your App Store listing or explicitly refer to where that info is available. As it stands now, seems like you’re just trying to increase your download stats.

Deceiving practices!

Apps says it’s free and doesn’t mention in app purchases. Very disappointed. :(

Well organized and user friendly

Love this App. Easy to get started! Using it for work and now will use it to save crafts.

Misleading

Once you create an account the price schedule is displayed. I would’ve liked to see this first

Disappointed

Downloaded the app because of its great reviews. But it simply doesn’t work. It won’t allow me to create new entries or really do anything else in the app. Very disappointed. Tried contacting the app developers through the app, didn’t work.

Amazing

After trying tens of apps, this is definitely the best one. The functionalities are powerful but easy to use. Mostly bug free. Very thankful for the developers.
