Bad Customer Support
I have made several purchases using this platform and had problems with all but 1. Each time I contact customer support they disregard me and I end up loosing money, not getting what I purchased, or both. This company does not care about its customers at all. It’s extremely frustrating to try communicating with a company whose customer service doesn’t care who is being screwed over as long as the company is making money.
If I had a single issue, I would not have bothered to write a review but it was multiple times, with different sellers, and the company is to blame. I will obviously never be using their services again and I recommend that no one else does either.
Save yourself the headache, shop elsewhere.

Ich verstehe nicht Wie kann das sein wenn ich jetzt wenn ich eine Preis biete, direkt in Sekunde wird höher Gebot gibt jedes Mal dasselbe. Ich mache 80€ und genau 1 Sekunde später sehe ich, dass eine andere 90€ Gebot hat wenn ein zweimal passiert ist, okay aber jedes Mal solange, wenn das Maximum Preis nicht erreicht ist, kann man ganze Tag spielen passiert nicht. Also irgendwie verstehe ich nicht ob das alles jetzt Brot machen oder hinterher catawiki setzen zu viele Leute, die die gleiche Produkt haben wollen, die ich haben will . Ich gucke nach paar Tage. Wenn das jedes Mal gleiche passiert wird, dann suche ich eine andere App. Gute Produkt sieht man aber weiß man nicht, ob man die auch hier was kaufen kann

Insulting
How they list your item is terrible. You can’t share your auction details on social media and you have to wait a week for approval before anything happens. Then they secretly don’t tell you how much they think it’s worth not shown on your selling dashboard but on the website where you’re not connected to your own account! like what kind of expert does that?? My item was undervalued badly and it was a prototype artist proof with provenance emails by a famous artists. Personally I would go elsewhere, they aren’t serious people and the buyers are a joke and are Not serious collectors here. I wouldn’t be surprise if some reviews on here aren’t genuine.

Bidding termination time
I found that I was outbid in several instances after the bidding deadline while I was on top and hence lost the auction. I find this not professional from your part and when the bidding clock goes to zero then the highest bid should be honoured. Extending the bidding after the clock turns to zero is not fair. I can show you evidence of this where I lost out on a few bids!!!!

Non ho ricevuto l’oggetto comprato e avere supporto sia da parte di Catawiki che del venditore è estenuante e dopo 25 giorni di ritardo sulla consegna, e la conferma che il pacco è missing da parte di FedEx, non ho ricevuto rimborso e nessuna chiara indicazione se avrò mai i miei soldi indietro. Non userò più questa piattaforma per i miei acquisti. Ho fatto recensione negativa prima e già è stata rimossa una volta. Lasciano solo quelle positive e anche questo mi sembra poco professionale.

As a buyer, If seller is not satisfied with the final price, they can easily cancel the order. Your money can then blocked for up to a week while it is refunded, wasting both time and trust.
As a seller it’s even worse a non paying bidder can completely ruin a high value auction, and you may have to wait weeks before your item is released again. In my case, it took nearly a month.
There are no strong consequences or balanced protections for users. The system feels unfair and leads to wasted time and financial loss.
Ultimately, this platform can directly cause financial loss and damage to its users.

Extremely expensive shippings and persuasion
The shippings are crazy and the fees as well. Good products found there but be ready to pay much more than what it says. Plus they take fees from both sides so not really worth it.
Number is “Invalid”
I’m trying to verify my number and it keeps saying it’s invalid. Reported this problem to customer support but they don’t answer though it’s been a week. Losing some of my holy grails because of this trouble

I would give a better rating and order more but it seems like when I do bid there’s a high reserve and high shipping some people on here are charging $70+ that’s horrible for a auction that adds to the price making gemstones specifically unaffordable coupled with the lack of certification and possible scam this makes it not a good experience…

Support is lacking
Fun app to use. However, when there is an issue with the purchase , it’s extremely hard to get support. I filed a claim 5 days ago and still no response yet . 😅. Also the shipping fee should be standardized, some vendors charges a lot for shipping , which is ridiculous .
