App needs adjustments for persons with disabilities so that it is by federal law compliant with all laws and regulations they’re in (ADA) Americans With Disabilities Act requires all, and that isn’t some that is all to be handicapped accessible. This is a disgrace, not only to the app, but to the country.

YOU DON’T NEED MY MIC
Every time I open the app, it asks for access to my microphone. I don’t ever talk to anyone using this app and I don’t want to give access to my microphone. Stop asking!
A pinnacle of technical incompetence
There could not be a worse option. Do NOT let your HOA pull you into this garbage. App lags. Video calls rarely work. The phone key drains your battery using Bluetooth in the background. The key fobs are propriety and over priced. The physical key readers have a multi second delay. The callbox can’t make regular phone calls - you need their 2009 trash app installed. Don’t even think about getting your guests through the door. Making user changes to their database don’t actually go through 9 out of 10 times.
They have a cap on your password length! Let’s not be too secure! This product could not be more backwards. I can’t even imagine the ongoing costs to keep this system running. A pinnacle of technical incompetence. Well done CellGate 👏

Not reliable
The app is not being supported by the company. No development is being done. The call delay is so long ie when a visitor calls from the gate it can take over a minute for the call to reach my phone and even then I often can’t open the gate because the watchman is off line and I get a failure to open msg. To fix it the company says for me to go and unlock the box remove a wire to shut off power wait 10 seconds and re connect the wire and wait for the box to reset. Why does the box constantly need resetting? It is such a pain. For $40 a month I get maybe five days of functional time. Avoid this company.

I upgraded to 40.0.57 approx 48-64 hours ago and video + audio connections no longer work.! It looks like the call is connected but who can be sure when there is no proper way to troubleshoot!?!

Quit working so I uninstalled and am trying to reinstall. It’s not working.
Terrible system, not available on apple car play
Terrible app, had this installed in our neighborhood and transponder stickers don’t work. That wouldn’t be so bad if it was actually available as a CarPlay app. Why would something that is supposed to open gates not work in CarPlay?

Inaccurate status reporting, poor communication regarding software updates and ineffective customer support. Can’t recommend.

I have been using this app for about 2 years now and it works great each time!
App launches all the time interrupting work
Our HOA replaced a gate in this became the app we had to use. Don’t ask me why they chose it with a two star rating, but the company lives up to it stars.
The app ghost-launches no matter what you’re doing on your phone even when nowhere near the gate nor wanting to use the app. It is very interruptive this way. Videotaping your kids volleyball game Cellgate is gonna get you. Trying to call 911 Cellgate is going to launch in the middle of your call.
When you actually want to use the app, there are no less than four taps to get the gate to open, based on how many steps you have to get through before the gate (our HOA) then exit or entry, then something else, then open. We’ve basically come to launching our app more than 500 yards away from the gate to have it open by the time we get to the gate.
Lately the app hasn’t been working well and gate Internet is down.
The only thing I like about it is that I can let anyone and everyone through if I launch my app 1000 yards before I reach the gate so I do not have a line to wait on. I will open the gate repeatedly until I get to my turn. The other thing I like is I can do this remotely so if there’s a service person waiting at the gate, they don’t ever use the keypad. They just call me and I buzz them through. I’m sure the HOA loves me for it but then we love them for putting in a gate with a low star app.

Gate Control
Our HOA loves the feature that allows the managers to program open the gate for extend periods. The system software takes time to get used to but adding new members is easy. I recommend adding more notes to streamline this process. Overall, a good system for gated communities.
Please add CarPlay
Please add Siri/Car play capability. The car is the only place I use this app. At minimum, please add shortcut capability so I can at least automate it myself. Thanks!
Too much steps
The path to the gate-opening button is way too long! You have to perform a lot of actions and wait a long time just to reach it.
Basic, a bit crude
This app isn’t very functional. Basic design with rather poor options and layout. Hope lots of improvements are coming.
Can only create a 1 day temp code on app
You need the app to be a bit more usable. I can only make a temp code last for one day instead of 7. It also doesn’t allow me to put in a preferred temp code.
People are cray cray!
I’m pretty sure if this thing was flawless, you’d still find something bad to say about it! A lot of y’all didn’t have to get out of the truck and open the gate, wait for the bumper to clear; shut and lock it back only to sprint full speed to catch your dad or grandpas truck and it shows!

Constant connection issues
From day one this has been one of the most unreliable apps and services I’ve ever had. Constant connection issues.

Takes forever to receive a call you cant make gate codes very poorly designed
Very Non-User Friendly
Super frustrating and hard to use app especially for its intended which is to open your neighborhood gate while driving! The app has three to four steps before it lets you open the gate. Terrible UX and overall experience.
