Great, but...
This app was great initially. I purchased the $50 unlimited package. The questions in the app are great, and I also really like the question of the day, and other features on the app.
On September 26, I opened the app, and all my progress was gone. Also it brought me back to the free version. After maybe 10 minutes of trying to figure out what was wrong, I tried the ‘restore purchase’ button. It brought back the premium service, but all my progress had been lost. I already had answered more than half the questions at that point. For reference, when I started the app, I was 94 days from CFP test day, and on the day I lost all my progress and data, I was about 44 days away from CFP test day.
Definitely frustrating, as apparently, there’s nothing I can do to get my old progress back with over half the questions answered and already tracked areas for improvement. According to Oleksandr, a team member that I messaged. He then ended the message with verbatim: Regardless of your login state, you can tap the restore purchase button on the upgrade screen to re-enable your premium access. Hope this helps!
It does not help, as I did that already, and it is now impossible to get my old data back. Again, great app if they can keep your data. After paying $50 you’d expect the app to automatically track everything. Guess not though.

I passed the CFP on my first try thanks to this app. I wouldn’t go as far as to say you should use this as your main source of study material, but as a supplement and using this on my downtime (while in the bathroom, eating lunch, etc.) definitely helped tipped the scales in my favor and drill-in some of the important concepts and topics. As long as the information is up to date, I’d recommend using this app. Remember that there’s so much material to cover, so it’s all about practice and repetition.

Great App to help you pass The CFP exam
Very nice easy to use app. I much preferred using this app in my spare time leading up to the exam as opposed to flash cards.

SCAM
I bought this app for $50 because it claims to have 700 different questions. I started noticing that multiple questions were being repeated and they were being deducted from the question bank. I sent multiple messages and they insisted it was a system glitch and recommended that I reset the app, so I did. And the same thing happened again! I went through all 700 questions and they were not 700 different questions. The same questions were being recycled so I started taking screenshots as proof. I’ve tried to talk to someone but they take a day to respond via message and state that they do not take phone calls. I would like to speak to a live person but they do not accept calls. For $50, I expect to have 700 DIFFERENT questions, but my guess is that there possibly 350 questions. I would’ve paid $25 for that. I am a super busy mom/career woman and do not have time to go though this. DO NOT BUY, I think they intentionally do this!

CFP App Be Aware and don’t buy it! Wrong Answers... not updated to 2018 Tax Laws
So, I spent my $25 and basically wasted my money! I was working on the Tax Questions and I noticed errors. One of them is related to Moving Expenses. According to JTCA of 2018, IRS doesn’t allow you to deduct moving expenses. They used too, based on the OLD Tax Laws! Also, the Kiddie Tax Question says that Kiddie Tax is based on the Parents Tax Rate! Wrong! In 2018, Kiddie Tax is based on the Trusts and Estate Taxes. I am disappointed! Already contacted the App Creator to ask for Reimbursement. And to be perfectly clear, I checked off the app version related to 2018 Tax Laws and not the March of 2018- which tested Old Tax Laws version!!! Don’t buy it! Unless, you want to fail your 2018 CFP exam! Alexandra D.
