Use someone else’s chargers. We just stopped at one called recharge and it was dead simple to use. Not only that the serial number of the charger was actually right! It was wrong on the ChargeNode one that we tried to use

Struggle to charge
Has a weird feature where it only charges when close to your mandatory specified departure time, but doesn’t actually work and allow your car to charge no matter how close that time gets. My car already has functions to schedule charging, so not certain why this app felt the need to bungle it.
