This app makes turning pictures into memories the kids can physically touch and remember is easy and so nostalgic. Will be buying more!
Absolutely beautiful
Ordered two of the monthly books for our European trip. They were absolutely beautiful! Much more impressive than I expected! Have a hardcover 8x8 ready to order 3! Can’t wait to see the!
Impressed
I have never experienced such amazing customer service. I had a problem and they did everything to work it out. Continuing to reach out to me with the progress of things and because of that experience and that interaction with customer service, I will always use chat book.
Not so great
I downloaded the app for the “monthly minis” which I thought would be a great, fast way to start printing off some pictures for the family. I went thru the entire process of selecting the photos I wanted from the last year, only to be informed that I can’t change the cover to display only a year (instead of the app’s default month+year format). This is so arbitrary and such a minor ask that I quit the app entirely. Don’t tell me you can’t edit something so trivial.

Love it
I love love love Chatbooks. I’ve always wanted to get around to printing/scrapbooking my pictures but I finally realized I’d never get around to it. This made it so easy and cheap, but still good quality books!! The app has a couple bugs that could be fixed, but once I understood how to use all the tools, I was sold!! So glad I can have these memories somewhere other than my phone!

Books are SOOO cute, and customer service is out of this world !
Hard to cancel
They make it extremely difficult to cancel or pause your subscription. I’ve been trying on the app for 10 minutes and can’t find it. Just keep getting bounced back and forth between the app and website. And once you cancel your subscription you only have a month to use all your credits. If I paid for the credits it’s ridiculous that they have an expiration date, especially only 30 days. Also even though I don’t have a payment option saved on my account it still goes through with Apple Pay which is ridiculous. I have to turn off my debit card to make sure I don’t get charged while I try to cancel or pause my subscription.

Unauthorized charging
Warning. They are scamming. App the very glitching. They charge me without authorization. When i contact for help they said i have an account that I did not created. I can’t even log in. Now they are unauthorized monthly payment without offering any solution to close this fraud account. When i contact for help. It AI chat box or Ai email does not offer actionable resolution. Never once have I had any help from a human !!!!

Great Site
I have so enjoyed printing these photo books for our family the last few years! The support people, like Shanelle, are very knowledgeable and happy to help if you need a book put together or have a question. I usually make books myself and that is easy! The sturdy book pages are great for babies- I’ve made books for my grandson to look at, and the pages are drool, and water-proof.

A keepsake our kids absolutely love!
We started making Chatbooks after our first big family holiday and I’ve been hooked ever since. I created our first book at the end of the trip, and it was waiting for us when we got home - the kids were so excited to take it to school and show their friends.
I love that it gives young kids a way to share their memories in a way they can’t without a phone. Their own little book to flip through is really special.
The Toddler Guarantee is also fantastic - we’ve only needed it once, but the books have held up really well despite constant use at school and daycare.
I made them monthly for about a year but it was a bit time consuming. Now I mainly make them after holidays and big milestones, which feels like the perfect balance. I also love that there’s now an option for them to be made for you - definitely on my list to try.

Used to be great
When you took away the easiest option of using Google Photos, it made making these books so much harder. I’m 10 months behind because it takes way more time than it used to. I just spent almost an hour choosing photos from my May 2025 album in Google Photos and when I went to hit done, it gave me an error code saying that it cannot add photos and to go back and reconnect to Google Photos. I logged into Google Photos to begin the process. Now that was an hour that I was wasted and will have to redo. Which probably won’t happen for another couple months so I will be 12 months behind. Please bring back the Google Photos access that was easier in the past whatever changed does not work.

Got my first book
I just received my first book, it is super cute and colorful. I wish that I could buy more than one because it was a trip with a couple girls. Is there an option I checked but I couldn’t find it.

It is intentionally so difficult to cancel subscriptions. Don't fall for it!
Great way to save photos
I subscribed to Chatbooks when our granddaughter was born. We made 1 book for each month her first year! What a fantastic way to watch her grow!!

Easy to make and a great way to make memories
I bought the subscription for the 6x6 books and I get up to 60 pages which is way more than enough pages to pick the best pictures to remember trips and family. I have given them as gifts and keep a few around my house!

I love chat books but I am so busy I lost maybe 9 books that expired I wish there was a way to recover them, but so far nothing
2 months later no books
I thought this was a great idea. However, I never received my albums. I was able to reach a person through the chat feature and get a refund and cancel my subscription. Now I am wondering where my albums are with my children’s faces in them. Tracking said they were delivered, customer service said “they might have been sent back”. Still, makes me wonder if someone has them. I’ll stick to Google Photos.
