I love Chatbooks!
The app is mostly very easy to use and the pricing for photo books is very competitive. I love that they still offer a 366-page book and have introduced flat pricing based on size and number of pages. I think my only stressor is that during your book set up, it can be very fiddly to move pages around using the click and drag method in the app, and I don’t love that it rearranges stuff that I’ve pre-sorted before uploading so that I’m forced to do it again in the app.
But overall, it’s very simple and the quality of the Classic Harcover books is amazing. Beautiful color, heavy page stock. I love these books.

I love Chatbooks! It is something that I look forward to every month. I print my son's pictures and ours every month and also printed photos from years back. I love that I can write the caption for each picture and make it more personal.
Most reliable
I’ve been a customer since 2015 and EVERY SINGLE camping trip I have Chatbooks print me a photo book to add to my collection. It’s something that really makes me and my family happy. Not to mention watching my kids grow up through the lens of vacations is pretty sick.
Also- the ONE TIME since 2015- that I had a little issue and needed a little help- chatbooks fixed it for me right away.

Great quality pictures in one cute book! So glad my friend Madison introduced me to Chatbooks! Easy to put together and when it arrived the entire family was excited to see the pictures and read the captions
Updates made this app suck
This used to be my favorite app to tell other moms about - make printed photo albums in just a few clicks! It would pull photos from a selected album, and once 60 photos had been added, I’d get a notification that my album was ready to print and ship! Then they changed to a subscription model. Then they updated the app. Now I have to manually add the photos in and I get charged for books I haven’t created yet. Can I cancel the subscription and still keep the credits? Only if I use them within 30 days. Could I reach out to their customer service team? Only if I want their AI bot “Chatty” to tell me to try steps I’ve already attempted myself. I WILL NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS APP TO ANYONE.

I love the Chatbooks. It’s monthly memories and they always remind me to make my book that I have set on autopay. I am the worlds worst a remembering to print pictures so these little books are so perfect for me.
Cute but needs work
The books are always cute but they take a MINIMUM of 2 weeks to arrive. And if they’re “late” it’s an other 2 weeks before customer service will provide assistance. In total it can take 14-30 days to receive a book so be aware if this is for a gift.
So many issues- waste of money
I have had many issues with my photos and uploading, and being able to review and print my prepaid books. I truly wasted my money, and I’m so disappointed. I used chat books 9 years, and when I started using them again this year, I was shocked at the size of the book. It’s so much smaller than it used to be. It’s just not worth the money.

Misleading offer
Love chatbooks, but a bit disappointed in their “save 15%” by signing up for emails/texts. I ordered a 1 year gift subscription, but because a 1 year is already “discounted”(2 free books) which I would have received anyway, when I applied the hey15 code, it will only give you either/or, so the code is useless. Ordering anyway because I do love chatbooks, but seems like a sneaky way of getting contact information for advertising☹️

ONE improvement, please
We LOVE our Chatbooks. They’re convenient, affordable, and resilient. I’ve had no issues redeeming the book guarantee, which I’ve only needed to do twice in 2.5 years of books.
I have one big request though - PLEASE add Amazon photos to your compatibility! We can pull photos from our device, or Google. But I get unlimited free photo storage on Amazon with my prime membership. A ton of my photos need moved there. Please add it!

Your books expire. Waste of money
They give you specific time to make your book. You gotta be fast or they keep your money and you’re left with nothing. Quality is not the best. Looks very low quality. Not something that will last.

These monthly books are writing my son’s memoir. These are the most special memories via photo that we sit through and tell his life story
Sneaky subscription
They do not make it clear that you sign up for a recurring subscription and will debit your account without warning. If you cancel, they only give you 30days to use the entire year of credits you paid for. Very dodgy. Quality of the books is average at best and not worth the price. Do yourself a favour and take your money elsewhere.

I made a mistake
I wrote a not so good review. So I wanted to refresh it. I was having a bit of a hard time getting my Google Photos in. But customer service reached out to me right away. I do greatly appreciate that, they’re going to help me with my photos. I love Chatbooks and they do put a personal touch with their customer service.
