I don’t like the new interface.
frustrated
why would a shortcut to abandon a game be the forward button. i keep accidentally abandoning the game every time i want to walk through the moves. please add a feature to turn off of this shortcut. this is becoming very frustrating
vacation mode?? wtf
why does this game let ME time out and lose correspondence games, but when my opponents time out, chess dot com puts them into "vacation mode" and saves them automatically, wtf is that? vacation mode is such BS just play chess or lose.
App is great, but I lose a lot
There’s nothing more frustrating than blundering all your pieces or hanging mate in one. Otherwise, wonderful app.
Amazing for all levels
Pretty all encompassing app for everything chess in my opinion. Has puzzles and lessons/coaching for any looking to study the very basics to the most intricate parts of the game and the ability to play either bots or other people with basically no wait time makes this a must have app/game if you want to keep your brain active!

Terrible
I’ve filed multiple reports about this and even spoken to a developer about this ALL before writing this review. There is a problem with this app on Mac with crashes and Chess.com knows about it they just can’t seem to be able to correct the issue. Read the other reviews from people with Mac’s and you’ll see more of the same.

sickening, the amount of cheaters
Was great before ads
Encountered an ad today and tapped the X to close it 3 times, and each time, it pulled up the game in the App Store rather than close the ad. Made sure I was tapping right on the X too. So, congratulations. You’ve all but lost a user. I will be drastically reducing my usage of this app.

2 Stars, will make it 5 when multiple premoves are added for iOS
Title says it all. I primarily play bullet and blitz. This feature is on the Android version of the app but I just switched to iPhone and was disappointed that it’s missing.

Worst
They never fix anything. Multiple games lost because the game wouldn't reconnect even if internet is back up. Also, why is it so hard to include a damn 'block' button in the app. I don't fancy having to go to the website, memorize and enter the username manually. Horrible!
Great tool to practice your game
Spend way too much time on this app but, if you love chess, this is the app for you. Just watch out for horrible people with no class writing to you. Suggest blocking text for the younger people.

The dang ads
Honestly I love the app but the ads lately have made me look for other platforms
Queen glitch
Whenever my queen is directly next to the opposing teams rook with no protection the game glitches and the rook takes the place of the queen and I lose my queen, I would love if this gets fixed.

Overtime the app has done more to push it as a product to be purchased. As a casual player, this doesn’t have an appeal.
Best chess app I know
Love the app in terms of quality, design and overall how easy it is to play and connect with other chess players and especially now that learning had been upgraded. I just got the app and haven’t played on the website in years though, so my chess rating is not actually what is on my profile. What I would suggest would be a way to erase specific stats and ratings like blitz or puzzles so I can play with people my level, as I don’t like being disappointed over losing against people I could before.
