I have been using Chewy for 7 to 8 years and they have always worked hard to make sure I am taken great care of for my fur babies I can’t say enough good things about them. Please use them you and your fur babies will be taken such good care of .!!!!!!

This site is the hardest to navigate of any site. I’ve used online and I’m an online buyer..

I love Chewy! They have the best customer service of any organization I've dealt with. While I rarely have any issues, the few times I have, they were resolved within minutes, and customer service agents are exceptionally warm, empathetic and efficient. They go out of their way to show appreciation for their customers.
I have so many stories about how they have gone above and beyond for us--one example is when we overestimated how much insulin our diabetic cat had while we were out of town (this was right after she was diagnosed, so we were still learning the ropes). The house sitter called us and told us that she only had maybe 2 doses left. I immediately called Chewy, explained the situation, and they sent it the very next day, no extra charge.
Another time I made an expensive purchase (automatic litter box) and then got hit with Covid. By the time I was well enough to set it up, I discovered there was a glitch, but it was past the 30 days for returns. I was frustrated and left a bad review for the item, but I expected nothing because technically, it was my fault for waiting so long. Within hours, they contacted me. They told me that since I was such a loyal customer (bought insulin and diabetic cat food from them for years and well as regularly buying other cat items), they would give me a full refund. They even sent the shipping container so the shipping was free (it was a very large item)!
The only very minor complaint I have isn't with the company but the app itself--it's a bit glitchy. Not always, but enough to notice--sometimes pages load slowly, occasionally it freezes, and a couple of times, it glitched out while I was on the middle of a purchase and I would have to come back later to complete it. So if I could deduct a tenth of a star, I would lol. But it's still more convenient that having to go to the web page and frankly, Chewy is such a stellar company that I can overlook occasional annoyances.
If you have a pet, I highly recommend you try Chewy instead of Amazon or Walmart. They're just a wonderful organization and they go out of their way to make their customers happy.

reverts back to old addresses
i’ve been getting all my orders at the same address for more than 6 months. suddenly my most recent one was delivered to an address i moved away from a year ago.
for some reason the app shows that this old address and phone number are the primary - despite having changed myself 6 months ago. now i am out the money and got nothing for it.
what’s even worse is that Chewy app will also not allow me to delete my payment information so i can delete my account. please keep this in mind whenever you hear about their ongoing security failures with their customers’ payment info.

Constant delivery issues and customer service is a joke
App is good, last mile carrier isnt
Orders usually delivered by OnTrac are late and instructions are not followed. Their website never sends text message as requested. No way to contact anyone. Wish there was a way to request a better carrier every time.
+ Membership is the Best
Spring 2025- I started using Chewy and became a + member a few months later. I love the convenience, rewards, quick deliveries, promos, friendly customer service, and the reason I am even writing this review… Chewy sent a gift this week - a small painting of our beloved cat Leo. We will 100% renew our membership later this year. The cost is worth it for such an attentive, well-rounded service.

Refunded me even though I screwed up
I had an auto ship order through chewy for my dogs medication. He ended up weaning off of the meds and no longer needed them. I never updated my auto ship order and forgot about it until I got the email that it shipped. I was currently tight on cash so waisting $50 meant a lot, especially if I wasn’t even going to use the medication. I contacted support and they immediately refunded me the money. They have always been so fast to provide adequate care and support I CANNOT recommend them enough

Fairly good app, some issues
The app is generally pretty reliable. The deals don’t always load properly and that can cause confusion about what is eligible and for what deal. Chat works well and customer service is fast and reliable! I wish it was easier to find saved items (is so small, I can’t ever seem to find it!), and the invoices load too large for mobile app to screenshot with no down load option. This is an issue if needed for prescription items.

App navigation is bad and no option to request extra packing materials
The menus and navigation are terrible. Chewy wants to force me to look at what THEY want me to look at and they bury all the options I want (like my Favorites), so deep I can never find them. Also, cans of cat food constantly arrive so dented and damaged that they’re unsafe for use. It’s now required to phone in an order if you want to request extra shipping materials to protect your order’s contents. They’ve entirely nullified the app by not having an option for this in the app. And phone in?? What is this, 1982???

Great service
I had some damaged packages, unlike other delivery services(Amazon) they didn’t charge me anything extra with photos included(Amazon too) to replace in a timely manner. The only complaint is by parcel company. FedEx tends to not care as much for the customer in my locale as UPS or USPS. Thank you chewy for being a trusted business and I will continue to use your service indefinitely!!

laggy app
update: searching for and buying items is almost all better! thank you! however the auto ship section is incredibly laggy and heats my phone up every time I use it.

Or search for something. It takes forever and really takes the joy and convenience out of shopping, when it used to be lightning fast.
I’m really hoping I can update my review with a better rating (and experience) because they will have fixed it. But it’s been like this for months now & I’m tired of the app taking forever to use and my phone getting all hot from the bugs they’ve left in.
It seems to me that Chewy has cut the software developer budget in order to profit more & it’s impacting customer experience a lot.

What is wrong with this app
This is the worst app I have ever used. I hear wonderful things about chewy. It has been so slow to navigate. It’s causing my phone to over heat. I keep trying to add the vet information and it just spins. I try again and get through half the items and then it stops working. You have to add the vet for each item too. I don’t understand why I can’t just add one vet per pet. This is ridiculous

New app navigation and menus suck
I can’t find my favorites for anything. Menus and navigation make no sense. I can’t stand being in the app for longer than 30 seconds because it’s so frustrating trying to find things or figure out where things are or where to even go look for them.
Great app and great service!
I’ve had a great experience with Chewy! Both the app and the customer experience. I had to deal with an agent from Chewy at one point. It was just awesome to speak to a real person who was nice and friendly and solved my issue quickly. On top of that, I’ve always found the app easy to navigate.

The name of the app was my childhood dog's name, so they hold a special place in my heart. They are the best, saving me time each month when I order food for my cats! Fantastic customer service with super fast shipping. I've even seen them send cards to people who have lost their pets online. Grateful for Chewy!!
