THE DAY AFTER, FINALLY That part nobody talks about: the day after. The reference section now tells you how long after-effects are reported to last, not just the effects themselves. For some things that reaches well into the next day, and now you can see it coming. Timings depend on how something was taken, too. Swallowed can take far longer to arrive than inhaled, and ChillMate had been showing you one when you meant the other. That one had been bugging me for a long time. Two more things can be logged and checked. And every combination is now compared against a published independent reference, which turned up four ratings that were sitting too low. They have been raised. WITHOUT UNLOCKING YOUR PHONE • A Lock Screen widget for a running check-in timer. Glance, done. • A check-in for the way home. Say roughly how long you will be, one tap closes it. No destination on screen, nothing sent to anyone. Just you and your phone. • Ask Siri for panic support. Out loud, hands free, whenever. NO WALL AT THE START Setup can be skipped from the very first screen. Nothing in the app is locked behind it, and nothing ever should have been. IN YOUR ACTUAL LANGUAGE This one stung. A lot of the app was still coming out in English no matter what you picked: safety information, reminders, setup, even the message you send your trusted contact. All translated now. All five languages, properly. ALSO WORTH KNOWING • Big text sizes no longer chop labels in half, and the calendar reads out properly. • Clearer emergency guidance, step by step, for the minutes before help arrives. • Plenty of smaller fixes.
