Communication preferences link not working
In general I like the app but at the moment the Preference Centre link is not working. A bit ironic as it was highlighted in an email from Chiltern to me today!
No e-ticket or car parking options
It’s pointless advertising e-tickets on the website if they’re not available, either via the website or on the app. Also, would be nice to book car parking using the app but this isn’t an option either. Pathetic!
Terrible service
Always cancelling trains back from London. No replacement buses. 26/12/25. No advice of help from the staff. Disgusting attitudes from the staff and the whole of Chiltern railways.
Useless
The most infuriatingly poor app I’ve ever been driven demented by. Absolutely unusable.
Doesn’t track trains
Works ok except you haven’t been able to see where a train is on its journey for years. Repeatedly reported to Chiltern but they ignored feedback.
Sometimes works
Randomly doesn’t take Apple Pay. Stopped allowing e-tickets recently. Offers only pick up from machine so might as well buy from machine.

E-ticket preference
Every time I go to register an e-ticket preference in the App and then book a ticket the e-ticket preference is no shown and I’m only given the machine collection or postal delivery, both of which are no good for me as I travel from a station which doesn’t have machine facilities.
Chiltern railways best train operator in the uk
I personally think Chiltern railway’s are the best operator in the uk nice trains 165s 168s and 68s with the lovely mk3 carriages friendly drivers always on time can’t beat Chiltern railways good prices 5/5
App is unable to complete a successful transaction, terrible experience using this app.

Doesn’t work
Whatever train journey I put in it tells me there are no tickets or trains available. The Trainline app works fine. It’s just Chiltern that doesn’t work. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, it still doesn’t work. Useless.

Unable to purchase a return ticket on app
I’m not sure why I can’t purchase a return ticket on app. It only allows me to purchase one way. Then I have to queue a the designated train station to purchase a ticket upon return!
Fantastic App
No booking fees, can book with any train provider on this app! And the customer service team is great if you need to a refund or get compensation for delayed services!

Substandard app
I have just booked a ticket , it has taken my money and now it’s displaying I do not have a ticket booked and I need to buy another !
