1st Claim. Refrigerator

This is my First Claim since having Choice Home Warranty.
What a horrible experience in has been ! Correspondence is almost impossible, I was offered a low ball offer for a replacement refrigerator , and was told it would come in the form of a Lowe’s gift card. They push you to immediately accept their offer.
The case manager was very rude, when I finally got to talk to him. I could go on & on , but I am so frustrated , I could scream !!
I’m so sorry I ever changed to this company from AHS , they are a total ripoff.

Horrible service

My AC went out and they assigned me to Sears and they canceled my service request without talking to me and then when I tried to reschedule I couldn’t get anyone on the phone to speak to. Their AI agent was terrible and the chat feature was zero help. This has been the worst customer service experience I’ve had in many years. I would t recommend them to my worst enemy.

Best Home Warranty

I placed a claim for my washing machine and Choice Home Warranty sent an appliance repair guy to my house within a couple of days and he was able to complete my repair right away!
My parents have them too and have had great experiences!x

Waste of time and money

The application is easy to use and works well, but the service provided by the company is not worth it. They do not have enough technicians in the NY area, and it can take more than a week to get a response from an electrician.

I opened a claim last month for an exhaust fan issue, and they sent someone who claimed to be an electrician, but he did not even know how to use a tester. I ended up paying him as well. Later, the company denied my claim based on the statement provided by that technician.

You can open a claim, but it rarely gets approved or fixed properly. It is better to hire an electrician directly, which will save you both time and frustration.

Sewage system

Filed a request to have the sewage ejector pump replaced It’s 20 some years old and alarm keeps going off They sent a contractor and he looked at it and reported back to the company CHW keeps saying it’s a sump pump but it is not !!!! It’s a sewage pump . Still trying to get SOMEONE to listen and realize what it is !! Regret singing with Choise Home Warranty !! Don’t Go There !!!!!

Bad experience

They replaced AC/ heat with MY MONEY SLOW TO RESPOND SLOW FOR REPAIR.

I will not EVER recommend this company to anyone. They are a big fat scam and won’t cover anything. I have tried calling to simply place a complaint and my calls get dropped, the calls keep ringing, and they won’t call me back. This company is being reported to the Better Business Bearau and I’m also contacting an attorney.

Piss poor customer service

This company is a straight up for profit, no expense as a basic grit company they deny eight out of 10 claims in my estimate I put in a claim for an item that it covered. I even went out and got the optional coverage for the item and they still messed me around then I have another issue that supposed to be covered and they make nothing but excuses just to deny the claim or they approve it and then they tell me that I gotta pay the service technician directly feels like THW is a referral service and I’m paying for that when I can go online and get a free referral service for that matter if I gotta pay the service vendor out of pocket so I would assume that Pain a warranty company they’re supposed to repair replaced and since they specify, they’re the only one that can hire the service company then I’m kind of stuck behind the eight ball

Scam DO NOT use them !!!!

Just like so many bad reviews here I had the same problem I submitted a septic field problem they said they couldn’t find anyone to look at it so they said for me to find someone and after a lot of calls no one wanted to look at it in December so I had it pumped out 3 times and finally got a guy to look at it and said it’s totally block and won’t work unless I keep spending $350 to have it pumped out . He said he could start the next day I was very happy to hear it . It was done 2 days later I paid them sent in the receipt and was denied. I spoke to a case manager with no help at all I was so made I canceled with them and hung up . So please no one sign up with this scam company all they do is take your money and won’t help you . 5 people in a big house it smelled so bad everything was backed up I can’t believe they screw me and so many others . Please add more reviews to close them up !!!

Does not do anything

I filed a septic system claim with Choice Home Warranty on December 17, 2025, and the experience was one of the most frustrating customer service situations I’ve dealt with. For weeks, then months, I was repeatedly told the same thing: they were “trying to locate a technician.” Despite multiple calls and follow-ups, no technician was ever scheduled and there was never a clear timeline for when anything would actually happen.

This was a septic issue, which obviously isn’t something a homeowner can wait on indefinitely. The responses never changed and there was no urgency or real progress. Eventually reimbursement was mentioned, but only after I had already waited far too long and had to take care of the issue myself.

I ultimately had the work done on my own just to resolve the problem. Only after the fact did I learn their reimbursement process requires following a very specific approval procedure ahead of time — something that was never clearly explained during the claim process.

After this experience I canceled my policy. A home warranty is supposed to provide peace of mind when something goes wrong, but that was not my experience here. When I actually needed help, nothing happened.

If you’re considering a home warranty company, I strongly recommend doing your research and choosing someone else. Based on my experience, I would not rely on Choice Home Warranty when you actually need service.

Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY

This company is terrible. They make it so difficult to get any information and when you try to cancel they charge you a $50 fee to cancel!

What do they actually do?

I have had a claim open for over a month and a half. Resorted to having to send a demand letter for action. Still haven’t gotten any. Persuing legal action against them. Highly recommend literally anyone else. Customer service is based in you know where. If they do you like they did me, if your taking a risk and getting their coverage, after you purchase they will try to get you to pay them thousands to “lock in your rate”. Apparently they will jack your rate up after a year. I told the rep if your gonna treat me like a cable company then I’ll treat you like one. They will tell you we give great service, obviously not in my case. They will tell you that you can cancel at anytime and get your money back. That they have tons of certified technicians. The one guy they tried to send me was a 4 star rated handyman service in another state. Well he didn’t even show up. I asked him if he was coming. His literal text was idk yet I’ll lyk. Never showed up. Politely. Screw this company

Unprofessional Service

From the Customer Service Center to the Technical Services they send out are the Worst. They are So Rude and only want your service fee. They fix only half of the problem them have other technical person come out so to have to pay then agin. Don’t use them at alll THEY ARE THE WORST !!!!!!!!
