Excellent !

The quality of food is very good . The App interface is smooth and looks really nice as well . The delivery is staff are well behaved and the customer support quickly resolve issues.

Amazing food and service

They have amazing and authentic Kolkata style Chinese food at very reasonable rates. The dragon chicken and chilli chicken are great along with all the soup options. Their white fried rice dishes are also very different and a must try. The delivery service through the app is always as per schedule and has never disappointed.

15th Anniversary Sale

I ordered food after much trouble due to technical issues in App with scheduled delivery time 5:45 PM, but till 8:00 PM delivery not yet reached. Can’t reach designated Chowman point over mobile number provided as the phone was switched OFF. This type of Flash Sale on Anniversary turns pathetic experience to customer like us unless backup tech support and delivery issues are streamlined for smooth user experience.

Absolutely horrible experience!

They were apparently providing a 15 minute offer on 15th anniversary! So if u cant handle a huge amount of order why to even provide the offer! Firstly i ordered something on the menu! I had to wait for 3 hours 30 mins and then when i received the order the item which was supposed to be in offer was not there,so they removed the offer item and just provided me with the other item i ordered! This was legit harrassment! Waiting for so long for the food to arrive just to receive an incomplete order was so disappointing! Ill make sure no one in my vincity ever visits chowman again!

Non professional

Typically bad service. Extraordinary excuses. No value for customer. Fully bugged application. Celebrating anniversary for a hype only. Terms and conditions change as per their wish. Application crashes and order delivery gets canceled automatically. People should think 100 times before using there application. Food tastes horrible. They are the example of how pathetic a Chinese dish could taste. The customer service should say 24x7 “unavailable” because you don’t get them at all. All over if option given I would have rated a minus 10 for them… sorry to say ! BIG CHEERS ! For the fall of Chowman….

Poor service , taking bulk order advertising 15rs items

I tried ordering the food items from 15rs series , where the app showed something went wrong . Its not about the money , it’s about customers experience. Now when I am ordering high priced food you guys are unresponsive and not even providing the order . My order was done before more than an hour still it shows in kitchen . Is it the way you deal with your customer ?

Not working app

It took 40 minutes to download and now it’s always popping up with SOMETHING WENT WRONG so over all then you guys have any offers running all over India please fix the buds first over can’t use it

Just unacceptable service

delivered scheduled order early. the restaurant actually completely ignored the set schedule and prepared the order the moment they received it. When i flagged the error they simply kept the food with them for sometime and still delivered 15 minutes earlier. The food is half cold already, they did not bother to even re heat and since my guests are not going to it right away (precisely why set a scheduled delivery) it will get colder. what is the point of a scheduled order that gets cooked and lies for over an hour getting cold? so basically if you order for a specific time it doesn’t matter.

Any day better than Swiggy or zomato

I do not have much expectations from my food delivery app. It should be able to register the order, and if anything goes wrong I should be able to contact the support. Chowman app does all this and more without charging me unnecessarily nor does it show me ads. What else can one ask for. Good job chowman!! Keep at it and break free from corporate clutches! More power to you and all other restaurant delivery apps that are in house!!

Good food, poor help with app payment issues

Food is good, but customer service when their app failed was very poor. Ended up paying double for food We did not need. We placed an order on their app, and it did not appear in the app as complete. So after messaging support, they requested us to place a second order COD as they had not recieved payment from us, and said that the amount would be refunded in our account. After this, the first order did go through, causing us to have a double order. The customer service said there was nothing they could do and refused to refund the original amount. Was sad, as we like the food, but their customer service and problem solving was very poor.

Chowman never disappoints!

My favourite even better than Mainland China. The food is consistently flavorful, well-portioned, and beautifully presented. Their Chinese cuisine stands out with authentic taste and quality ingredients. I especially love their chili chicken and seriously all food is cooked to perfection. Highly recommended for anyone craving delicious, comforting Chinese food.

Quality food good pricing

Have been ordering food over 2 years now and although my order remains limited to a handful of items i love the taste and quantity of the food. Also the delivery service and availability of coupons make it super convenient for ordering. Thank you Chowman.

Poor Customer Service

I am a regular customer of Chowman. While the food quality is okay, they very often miss out on the instructions that is written while placing the order.

Many times even when mentioned to provide extra sauce and vinegar, they provide a quantity that is not sufficient even for 1 person. This happens even when food is ordered for 3-4 persons.

The supervision in the kitchen is very poor and no one seems to bother about the instructions provided.

Don’t order from the app. Order from Swiggy/Zomato instead.

If you want to have their food peacefully then choose Zomato/Swiggy instead of their app.

They sure know how to make tasty food. I have been regularly ordering from their app but their service overtime has gotten worse. They really need to train their delivery executives on how to behave. Faced the issue with their delivery executives twice in a week and came here to share the feedback. In the latest incident the delivery executive literally threatened me at the time of delivery that I made a mistake by calling the support team and escalating his behaviour of marking the food delivered without actually delivering it.

Edit 1: Worst CS ever. Firstly the call won’t connect, secondly they’ll use 3PA to deliver the order and the 3PA would ask for OTP, which is nowhere to be found.

Payment processing is not accurate

The payment page takes to different payment options but then when I switch back to chowman app from a payment app like gpay or phnpay after paying , then chowman app goes for a toss. There is just a blank screen with option to cancel. I dont know the order went thru or not. Invest properly on the payment processing.

Good food & price

The delivery service is good and hassle free. Compared to other food delivery app they are listed, the price is less in their own app because they don’t have so many hidden charges. Food has always been the same good quality and quantity.

I’ve used many food delivery apps, but this one by Chowman is by far the best! The ordering process is incredibly smooth and hassle-free.
