App only caters to signing up
A lot of texts and icons wont load properly. Text for important things in your profile like membership details and upcoming payments don’t seem to display properly sometimes. Whats interesting is that most aspects of the app that revolve around signing up for a membership work just fine all the time but everything else is prone to new issues. Please fix this app so I can view and manage my billing and payment information properly.

Love this app! I can control my membership, book classes, order smoothies, bring a friend, and there is even a crowd meter!

It’s all very scammy. All app functions will work for me except cancellation or freezing my account. Their membership email for cancellations won’t let me send an email either, and their site even blocks me when I try to go to their cancellation page. It all feels like an effort to make it as hard as possible to cancel for someone who may not be able to make it in.

Maps lacking
I like the ease of use in the app, I t just fails to continue the intuitive flow whenever the maps are shown. Like, why doesn’t it just show the closest gyms to me on a map by default? It’s asking me to enter my current location in order to see my results on a list. Can it just show me gyms nearby on a map?

Booking Classes
This new class reservation system is extremely frustrating and feels much less fair than the old one. Since classes now open days in advance, they are constantly full or heavily waitlisted, making it almost impossible to book classes if you have an inconsistent schedule. I preferred when reservations opened an hour before because people signing up actually knew they could attend, which seemed to give everyone a fair chance.
The current system creates long waitlists that often don’t move, and even being first on the waitlist doesn’t guarantee a spot. Since the change, I honestly haven’t been able to attend a single class I used to enjoy, which is disappointing considering classes are one of the main reasons I pay for this membership.

Violates California LAW AB 2863.cant cancel in app/online
Can’t cancel in the app/online like planet fitness or 24hr. I actually rejoin gyms on and off and it’s easier when I can just cancel. When I freeze my account it still has the payment go through so might as well cancel since I’m not using it. Add it or I guess admit you’re breaking the law and get fined by the state of California

Lack of Safety Notification
There was a gas leak today near the proximity of my local Chuze, but there was no notification until I actually got there and learned of this news. I highly suggested that the app has some kind of safety feature to update current status of local Chuze. Thank you!

Currently not working properly
When trying to enroll in classes or view reservations multiple days do not show up. I can confirm and see registrations online but not in the app.
You don’t know what you’ve got, till it’s gone
I lost my barcode off my keychain recently so I went to my gym to get a new one. Turns out they don’t have those anymore? I have to download an app to my phone?! The absolute entitlement is unbelievable… You’re just a gym, leave my phone alone.

Quality Decrease
This gym first open: they had the pools heated all the time, there was shampoo/conditioner, no fees if you missed a class, and so forth. The fees have increased and the quality have dropped

The app adds a lot of navigation features now - love that you can cancel or make changes without having to go in or do stuff online.
Notifications have stopped
I randomly stopped receiving notifications for scheduling classes or when they are about to start a few days ago. Nothing in my notifications settings have changed and I already made sure the app is updated. I also deleted the app and redownloaded it, and logged out then back into the app but it did not fix it. This is super frustrating when you have classes you want to book with limited spots. Please fix this.

Chuze is very app based but app works terribly
It’s often stuck on a loading screen or will log me out randomly “due to security reasons”
High fees
Not clear information in the app. You need to leave the app to update your payment + Bad customer service support, not even corporate was willing to resolve.
