I’m not a fan of the new app. 1. There is still no running balance, surprisingly. 2. I’m hoping the large banner at the top goes away, it doesn’t belong there. 3. When you go to an account, the transaction screen should be the default - why have it be account information? 4. Also, now your transactions don’t include merchant information, you have to drill down into each transaction to find out who it is. CIBC, you can do better.

Upgrade to equal competition
Being such a large bank consumer services should equal their competitors. This includes showing upcoming or pending debits and credits. And many banks and credit unions have regular ACH deposits like paycheck and Social Security available the evening before. After asking about these type of enhancements through customer service multiple times, it is years later and still awaiting real upgrades.

Since the update yesterday it keeps saying an error has been encountered while I am trying to view my transactions in my primary checking account. All my other accounts are fine.

First all of the pending transactions do not show like they used to with the old app so that is definitely a negative feature and downgrade with your technology.
Secondly, many other banks and credit unions automatically have our regular income deposit from paychecks or Social Security available much earlier then your institution. I had put in a suggestion for this years ago through customer service and they said it would be passed on since funds are available in other institutions after midnight in some cases (the day before regularly scheduled deposits).
We do hope you continue improving your mobile banking app especially after you closed all of the suburban branches in the Chicagoland suburbs.

Can’t set up FaceID

The ability to lock and unlock my card, a feature that we had before the “new and improved app” is still not available after the latest update.
Hate the change
I’ve been with my bank since it was founders. It was then The Private Bank and now CIBC USA. I never had an issue with mobile banking until now. I hate the new app layout. It was good before the change. Now it’s awful. I hate the way the transactions are. I just hate it, period.

No access
I have been unable to access my account through the app since the recent update. I contacted support and was informed that the issue was on your end and that I would receive an email once it had been resolved. I have continued to attempt to log in as advised, but the issue persists. I would appreciate any assistance in restoring access to my account.

Bloated and worse
The old app has a clear display with running transactions that let you know your balance. Now you have to click through several screens to get to the transaction screen that highlight the date and type of transaction- rather than what you need to see which is the merchant and running balance. Oh and also now there is a glitch with the Bill Pay screen.

Crashing
It’s had a good amount of updates and it keeps crashing! I’m trying to use Zelle! This is a huge inconvenience! Fix it!

The recent update is very bad. I cannot pay a bill, Zelle any money, etc. Please fix this ASAP
Update worse than before
The app was clunky to begin with but after their major revamp it’s even worse! Info field for sending Zelle goes blank when trying to enter new info, so you have to type but can’t see what you’re doing until after the fact. Extremely frustrating and baffles me when they even updated it in the first place as it worked better before

Works well, icon needs to change
The new app is better than the old one, but they’ve made a huge mistake by giving the new app the same icon as the Canadian one. It’s confusing, and there’s no way to tell which app is which without opening them. Once that’s fixed, I’ll update my review

Better, yet worse
This update tries to be a modern mobile banking app, and convinces you it is with its new layout. However, the user experience has definitely declined. It is much more complex, whereas the previous app thrived on it simplicity. It is far more complexed to transfer money between accounts and to view the transactions, as well as setting up the push notifications. I hope they address these three concerns by taking a few steps back. Sometimes less really is more 👍

After upgrading, can’t get to proceed button after entering 2 factor authentication code. Do you guys even test this?
