Worth every penny
Used it for the first time this past weekend on a gig and it was a game changer. I could tell immediately my shots were visually better instead of the usual guessing game without a light meter. Well worth the $20
Useful for Still Photography Too
This app is very accurate for setting Kelvin for white balance for still photography. I had to photograph items in a large room with a mix of fluorescent light and daylight coming through the windows. It was different in various parts of the room. I used this app to make quick K adjustments instead of shooting a gray card for each location. This was much faster and save time in post. The photos were more consistent across the gallery. The sun tracking function is also intuitive and helpful for planning times for future shoots to get the best light.

wonderful
been helpful in quick situations. one issue ive had is it uses the 5x telephoto when switching to 2x. i also wish there was a landscape mode to match my frame more accurately. the fixed portrait orientation has been accounting for a wider reading of the space when sometimes i need it tighter but 5x is too close of a zoom to compensate for this issue. (i have a 16 pro max)

Seriously. Could I figure this out manually? Yes, do I want to be bothered by it? Absolutely not.

Game Changer
I regret not finding this app earlier. It’s a quick way to gauge the color temperature (among other things) in front of your camera, especially since I use the Accsoon SEE app on the same phone. I’ve been working on a project the last two weeks and have used this at each location. Bringing the footage in afterward and adding a quick CST adjustment reveals very consistent and natural colors. No more having to guess or rely on auto white balance for run and gun b-roll. Thank you for designing this app. Definitely worth the money!

Fast & very accurate
I’m a solo filmmaker and I use this app literally every shoot. To be able to quickly check the temp and ND for multiple sources is a game changer! Worth every penny.
Appears buggy, but some possible potential
All right it looks interesting. Obviously I paid for it and I’m not gonna refund it yet, but there is some type of bug between 1X and 2X mode that shifts the color temperature at least 300°. I don’t know if you’re switching cameras or if you’re doing a digital zoom but something is broken.

Thanks for the feedback! The app calculates CCT based on all available data within the camera’s frame, so as the information in the frame changes, the CCT output will also adjust. For best results, try to match your app’s frame to your camera’s frame — that’ll give you the closest representation. You can also check the Information tab inside the app for detailed usage tips. From our tests, accuracy is very consistent across lenses. That said, every phone is unique, so there may be slight variations. We did our best to anticipate this, so if you notice a consistent trend, you can offset the CCT within the Settings menu to fine-tune, or just keep it in mind while working. We appreciate you giving the app a try, and 2.0 will be rolling out soon with additional improvements and new features!
Great app to speed up scouting and on-set prep!
My iPhone is becoming a tool I use more and more as apps become quick, accurate, and keep me nimble on set. This app helps speed up the workflow, has plenty of meaningful features and capabilities like snapshot history, offsets, quick compare using kelvin reference, current, and difference between the two. Developer also has s great YouTube channel about his film production company. A+

No more extra gear that I gotta keep up with! Still crazy to think that this tech is in the form of an app on my phone but hey it’s almost 2025! High recommend this app because it’s a GAME CHANGER for us film peeps.
Incredibly easy and useful
This app is very helpful and useful on set and in the field. Even if you’re in the raw world, it will save time in post if you’ve nailed the white balance while shooting. When you consider the price of a separate color meter, this is a steal, and to have it in your pocket all the time makes it a no-brainer. Just get it!

One of the biggest hurdles in filmmaking is the jump to setting your own white balance and making good decisions with it in tough environments or when you’re shooting something really styled. This app makes it easy to be decisive and accurate. It’s a tool anyone can use to make their scouts and shot lists more efficient and give the camera department an edge on the day. Bravo!
