Great while it lasted, completely abandoned now. Avoid
I used Clerkie a ton back when it was actually functional (mostly in the year 2021) and I loved it. It put me in contact with a debt specialist who spoke to me on the phone and handled my reduced payments to multiple debt collectors and it was great. But the backend of this app was completely abandoned several years ago (as you can see by the version history) and users who trusted it with their money became unable to access it and it has become part of a several year long ongoing class action settlement (Google search reconciliationbyevolve to learn more). Clerkie is listed as one of the accounts that has refused to provide Evolve Bank with the data that they need to refund its end users with the money they are owed. This settlement is not over, and I encourage any Clerkie users who lost money to get involved and perhaps team up with the yotta end users who are currently seeking legal action for being similarly wronged, as they are organizing and communicating regularly about this problem still on their subreddit.
The fact that this app is still up and available for download on the iOS store is very disturbing and I encourage everyone to report it, and cite the legal trouble they are in and how the app has not been updated in two years. An app handling such sensitive information as banking information and credit scores and finances being abandoned like this and never taken off the App Store is extremely dangerous.
I’m sorry to everyone affected by this. Clerkie really was awesome while it lasted. It sucks that this is what became of it. They really did help me out at one point in time.

Terrible app, worthless support
It’s the worst budgeting app I’ve used. Their features said I can pay me credit card via their app, and I submitted payment and nothing happen, I missed my min payment and then I had to wait one month to get my money back. And now i want to remove my back from their app, their don’t have that option and support didn’t respond for 2 weeks.

Used this app for 2 years after DoorDash offered it to drivers. Seemed great at first until I had an issue & couldn’t get anyone to respond for months. Then out of the blue I got hit with a “missed payment” report on my credit report & my account with them was marked as closed. Now they’re holding the $ in my credit savings & nobody will respond to help me. Horrible “company”.

This app is scam and no one should trust what they say. DO NOT USE THIS APP! They will definitely destroy your finances. I still have no clue where the rest of my money is and they have deleted my account so I can’t even login. They still owe me 500 dollars and on top of that they have hit my credit report negatively. The moment I felt like withdrawing funds the nightmare began. Took over 2 months to even get someone to respond to me and guess what it wasn’t even Clerkie! They paid me half of what I had in the account which was weird because I wasn’t doing business with them I was with Clerkie. So come to find out they we also not working with Clerkie anymore on the back end. So this middleman company was using both sides and holding funds elsewhere so they seemed needy and unprofitable. While juggling funds between accounts. Trust when I say do not use this app my situation could have been worse for sure! Hopefully they get what’s coming to them KARMA!

Don’t bother
The functionality sounds and looks like it’s great but it also doesn’t exist in reality. I’ve had the app for months now hoping that some of the basic functionality such as pulling in credit scores and getting a plan to improve it or pulling in debt and getting a plan to pay off error out with unhelpful mystery errors about unknown encryption issues on both the app and beta web interface. Don’t waste your time on support messages they are never answered and there is no help guide. You waste days of your life linking accounts through a clunky interface that avoids efficiency at all costs, only pulls in random accounts from sites it works with, and from what I can tell has no ability to upload transactions for the ones not pulled so even more time entering those to be left with no functionality of value at the end. Unless you find value in sharing all your financial transactions with a company so they can openly sell your data to others to spam you. If you do then it’s it’s great

Fix it or delete app!
I keep getting an error about an XML code when trying to verify my debt. At one point when it was working, I tried to make a payment It kept saying something went wrong. Im convinced this app doesnt work anymore and the so called Human Specialist never responds. At this point just delete the app!
Looks promising but…
The functionality sounds and looks like it’s great but it also is apparently theoretical or maybe it’s just reserved for people not me. There are large parts of the app that require connecting to other services to grab data or at least for it to be automated. Instead of that being a seamless process the connectivity to plaid to link accounts is burdensome at best down to having to restart and relogin for each individual one, it can’t even retain the login to plaid so it’s hours and then only picks up select accounts for each bank. They also only use plaid so forget about half of your accounts which makes it useless for budgeting unless there’s a manual upload process I haven’t found but manually entering every transaction is a non starter. Worse still is attempts to pull in debt or credit scores gets a vague error about an unknown encryption type and to fix first. But worst of all is that in app help requests (there is no user guide) go ignored and unanswered . If the developer couldn’t be bothered with the app then I guess no one else should bother either

So many technical errors with this app
Nothing works properly I got 3 errors during account creation and then I finally got ina proceeded with putting in my info/social it stated I made too many attempts and need to wait 2 days to try again. They get your SSN # and then run with it and customer service doesn’t respond. I recommend using any other app over this one.

I’m in Canada. The app will not let me enter a Canadian address. It’s looks unique and helpful. Too bad we’ll never know.

I have been working on finding a way back into society and the rules of the world didn’t agree with my past and the way I had absolutely zero creditworthiness or any kind history whatsoever. So I said to myself let’s just try this and see what happens. I know that I am disciplined enough to maintain a relationship with the promised contributions and with my will power to seek the best possible outcome for myself, hopefully within a few years I can make it work. Already got the mindset, now if I can just remember what I was doing….oh ya saving money for my credit score lol thanks Clerkie 😅

My Review
The counselors and lawyers don’t ever respond to questions. Everything they say they got processed or approved or removed isn’t because they did it. I’ve had this app for over two years. Everything that fell off my credit was due to being on there for so long as far as inquiries and such. Then in the app they list it as something they got removed. It’s almost falsifying their efforts to keep you locked in. Honestly you could do more by using a credit work company or a debt relief program that only costs about $100/month. Negotiations on your credit can actually negatively impact because your not paying your original amounts in full so you don’t get that points. Unless this app magically changes their operations and efforts I don’t see this as being a app I’d use or recommend in the future.

This App Saved My Marriage
Not really, but it did fix our credit score and now my wife isn’t so mad at me about messing it up in the first place.
STAY AWAY. NO Support, scam, will take money out of your acct and not apply it to your debt.
I’ve contacted them endless times since being a customer for over a month, they deducted the payment which was supposed to pay towards a credit card, but never paid towards it. I’ve emailed and submitted 10+ support tickets and just get automated responses saying they’re reviewing and will get back to me. Still nothing. Trying to get my money back, but no one will respond. DO NOT use this app. Do not try it out, do not upload your bank or card info. Take it from me, STEER CLEAR.
