What's New in Closebooks

1.0.3

August 29, 2026

Fixes a bug in 1.0.2 that reported fees and dues as $0. If you marked a recurring fee paid in 1.0.2 — a monthly desk fee, quarterly MLS access, annual dues — the payment was recorded but the Taxes tab, the Home screen and the CPA export all showed nothing for it. The Get Set-Aside shortcut showed the correct figure, so the two disagreed. If you upgraded from 1.0 with fees already marked paid, that deduction dropped to zero on your first launch of 1.0.2. Your records were never lost — only the total was wrong, and it is correct again now. Nothing you need to re-enter. Because fees reduce your net profit, the quarterly self-employment estimate was too high for the same reason. That is corrected too. Also fixed: deleting a fee that had payments recorded against it could leave the app unable to open. And deleting a fee no longer changes what its past payments deducted — a dues payment you had corrected from fully deductible to partial stays corrected. One more, invisible but worth naming: receipt images were being re-uploaded on every sync, and deleting an expense left its image on our servers instead of removing it. Both are fixed.
