What's New in Dollarwise

6.4.0

August 14, 2026

Your Needs, Wants, and Savings plan now saves to your account, so you can personalize your percentage targets month to month. Spending totals now respect hidden transactions, you can create custom categories while assigning a transaction, and manual balances support positive or negative amounts. The biggest work in 6.4 happened behind the scenes to support our upcoming Web release.

Download

Out the door download was easy. I plugged in my checking account. From the get go everything is smooth going. The only thing I couldn't do is pay for it. It does have a 3 day free trial right as of today and that's good. I'll consider paying for it one day. I was laid off late Aug. Had been looking for a job since Dec when we heard about it. Finally found a job yay me! But I won't get a paycheck till Oct 9. The pricing is not bad. It's just not doable right now. Every person should consider getting this. My debt is bad and I want to get it under control. Try it!

Super excited but it sucks

I have been watching his videos and thought I would try his budgeting app! I like how it looked so user friendly but once I entered all my info I then needed to pay!! $100 a freaking year? Or $9.99 a month which would then be $120 per year? You’re supposed to be helping us budget- if we need this help I promise you we can’t afford to pay for it!! You really want people to pay for it? Maybe have a free version. Maybe it doesnt have all that the paid one does… I’m so upset!! Another scam!

Upfront paywall

1. Sign up with email.
2. Create account.
3. App tempts you to connect your financial accounts (this gets you to invest time and be more willing for step 4).
4. Paywall options.

Just stick to an excel tracker.

CALEB

DollarWise is Finally here, but doesn’t have a recurring calendar like RocketMoney! it’s the most helpful part of a budgeting app to me, i’m subbed. but that would make it 10/10. 🫠

It’s okay.

It needs some improving…

1. 33% of the time my app won’t load and I have to try again later.

2 There is a learning curve with the categories and searching, but it is helpful. I wish there was a table view instead of a gallery view of charges.

3. Additionally, when using the review transactions feature, some transactions don’t need to be categorized as wants, needs, or savings because they are transfers and there isn’t an option for that so I just have to skip it. It’s weird…

4. There’s some other stuff I’m too lazy to list right now but I have this feedback leads to some improvement.

5. I wish there was a tutorial when you opened the app with a video and a way to get set up.

I love Caleb Hammer’s videos, so I downloaded the app but it could use some improving.

Happy to change my review when updates come to the app.
