Glitches

I was excited to use this app. Signed up, started the free 3 day subscription. Added my bank and then it didn’t work. It wanted me to add my bank on every page. Would not update, would not connect, would not work at all. I immediately canceled my subscription and then it wouldn’t let me delete my information (made me feel very secure). So I’m going to wait and see if it will let me delete my information. Very disappointed and was hoping for much better.

Finally

It’s nice to see a budgeting app actually correctly tracks everything in an organized and easy to understand way.

Great app

Great app that simply lays out the flow of funds. One addition that would be super helpful is a calendar view of when transactions occur with each account.

Lots of Potential

Just signed up for the free trial and when the app works, it’s great. It actually gets me excited about tackling my spending issues and helps to visualize the areas I can improve.

But it crashes.

And makes you login constantly.

And runs you through the introduction repeatedly.

Frustrating and far from smooth/seamless. Won’t be paying for the subscription when my trial is up.

Potentially one of the best budgeting apps on the market!

I only really heard about this through financial audit. Gave it a try and got hooked. I love how simple it is to swipe and categorize my purchases through wants, needs and savings. It stupidly brilliant! I also enjoy being able to know at a glance how much more money left over at the end of month. So I can either save it, invest it or treat myself. However I do wish there was a calander so I can be able to know which days I have to pay bills, subscription, credit card balances/minimums, etc. as well as being able to go further in depth with my fiancial transactions.

Fraud

DONT GET THIS APP!! I have never had login attempts before this and now they’re nonstop. I’ve had to change my cards and password because of this app. DO NOT GET IT

Add a bank manually

Sadly I have to give it 2 stars. I would give it 5 stars because I’ve heard good things about it. I’m giving it 2 stars because I don’t use a conventional bank, so it won’t come up on the bank search. Maybe add a way to manually add your account/routing number? I would love to use this app but can’t.

Love the idea but…

I love the idea the thought of finances stress me out and can’t not get my life sorted out but the down fall is I cannot connect my bank account to actually see the bigger picture and where to start with my finances not sure what to do I’ve downloaded and reconnected still won’t show bank or transaction

Can’t use without “free trial”

It’s bs that I can’t even TRY the free version without signing up for a 3 day free trial of the paid version. For a company that claims to hate scams, that’s some pretty scammy shi+ right there

Can’t even use

Can’t even start using the app with out subscribing and spending money! That’s a big no in my book!

Paid?

So I’m trying to manage my finances better and you’re going to make me pay for it with a subscription?😭 What a start.

In my 3 day trial

I like the look and feel but it seems like most other apps. Really wish they would add a paycheck planning feature. Most budgeting apps assume that the user has enough money to cover short periods of red in their budget, but many people don’t use budgeting apps because they don’t start where we are.

Buggy and laggy

A lot of the features take weeks to update to the attached accounts. On top of that a lot of the information it pulls from said accounts and cards is quite inaccurate after initially connecting them. Save your money and skip this one.

I was crashing out like a toddler

This app is good and does as advertised. In a world of content creator slop, Caleb Hammer delivers on this product. (But still a little heavy handed on the ads)

Hard to use

I was a user before it became Dollarwise and the app was awful then. I thought I would leave Monarch where come back. Using my previous account to log in was difficult because it was buggy and I had too many attempts so I had to wait a day. Connecting some of my accounts was difficult but I managed to do it. You can’t split transactions which is helpful because part of my grocery purchases include pet food, shopping, etc. It was hard to categorize some transactions because of the way it reads them so I had to log into those bank accounts to figure out was it was. I still haven’t been able to figure out how to make a budget. It kept saying I had a $0 budget. I will be returning to monarch.

No splitting charges

The layout takes a couple days to sort but is very simple and easy to navigate. I love seeing the safe to spend/save leftover amount throughout the month. I don’t like how you can’t divide charges to multiple categories of spending. Example if go the ATM and do a withdrawal, I want to show how I divided the ATM expenditure to two different budgeted sources and have not found how that is possible yet.

Trouble Connecting accounts :(

I couldn’t connect my bank account for days and then once it FINALLY worked, it never updated with any of my paychecks and purchases beyond the day I connected it. At the end of the month it said it disconnected but went back to saying my bank login that worked the first time wasn’t valid for my bank 😭it’s a shame because I really like the way I was able to categorize and break down my purchases

Budgeting at its FINEST!!!

This app has helped me to understand my budget and spending habits! I’ve been able to start a savings account and change my habits within the first 2 months. I’ve tried Rocket money and it SUCKED compared to this one!!! Thank you Dollarwise!!!

Eye opening!

I watch the YouTube videos with my partner, I see people who are in far worse positions, succeeding at getting on the right track, this showed me I can get where I want to be with discipline and drive! Dollar wise made it 100 times easier to see my own habits and what I need to work on. Thank you to the dollar wise developers for making this journey possible!

Instant regret

This app isn’t up to snuff, I wouldn’t recommend getting it.
