Best way to track your spending

Love the simplicity of Club Money. The swipey expense tracking is a totally awesome and saves me a bunch of time. Really nice design and easy to use right from the start. 5/5!

I’m finally saving money!!!

This is the first app that has actually caused a long-term improvement in my financial habits. The swipe and categorize system is so quick to use and intuitive to me that it has completely demystified the process of actively tracking my spending and saving habits. For once I don’t feel dread looking at my bank account and I feel like I’m making informed decisions with my money!

I think the flexibility of the 4-S system is the best part of this app. I’ve always had a hard time budgeting because my spending patterns tend to change month-to-month. It makes coming up with a consistent monthly number for “transportation” or “groceries” difficult, and when I’ve used other apps, I’ve just gotten overwhelmed and gave up. With Brightfin, I can focus on the purpose of the purchase rather than the type, which makes way more sense to me.

The app does require a monthly premium subscription to achieve the level of ease described. For me, the benefit I’ve received far outweighs this cost, but it is something to consider. I also think there is potential for more budget customization options, and I have come across the occasional bug. However, the developers are very responsive to feedback and quick to implement fixes.

Using Brightfin has reduced my financial anxiety, doubled my monthly savings, and actually increased my satisfaction with the results of my spending. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who has struggled with budgeting in the past and is trying to crack that code.

Thank you! Glad to hear it's working well for you!

Simple and fun

Not much else to say, I just like it!

So simple!

I have ADHD and this app is so easy to use. The colors, the swiping, it just works for me. Finally found one that does.

Super easy!

Love that it was so easy to add my bank accounts and the swiping is fun and interactive. The reports are easy to read and interpret too.

No support for Apple Card - not useful

I think the idea is amazing but if there’s no support for the Apple Card it’s effectively useless to me. Had to cancel out of the free trial.

Response from developer

Glad you like the idea! We also wish there was support for the Apple Card in our account connections. Like most other budget apps, we work with Plaid to link financial institutions. We'll pass that along to them. Thanks.

Not afraid to budget anymore

I was intimidated to sit down and do a formal budget before. But this app is pretty easy to use, and it's satisfying to swipe my receipts. It turns something intimidating into a simple & fun task

Great tool!

What great, user-friendly budgeting tool! It has helped me to better keep track of my money and spending habits.

Easy to use

This app is my favorite budget tracker as it is so easy to use. I can easily swip my spendings and savings into the 4 categories. I also like the fact I can change my percents based on how I am feeling that month.

So much easier than spreadsheets

I’ve tried other apps and I’ve tried spreadsheets. This one is so much easier! The swiping is fun and I feel like I’m finally getting a handle on my money.

Easy to use!

Just swipe to categorize your expenses, makes budgeting easy! Love the colors too

Sooo easy and useful!

This app is definitely the easiest and most user-friendly budgeting tool I’ve come across. It takes no time at all to set up, and dare I say that it’s fun to use? I love the swiping! Also the percentages make a ton of sense and really make it easy to understand where all my money is going. And the colors of the logo make me happy 🙃

Does not support all banks

This app looks so promising, especially since I have been looking for a replacement for Mint for ages. However, this app only uses plaid to link bank accounts, and my bank (Fidelity) does not work with plaid. Hopefully they will come up with another way to link accounts, as this is a pretty common issue I run in to. Since Fidelity is a leading investment account, I also feel like this would be worth trouble shooting since 1/4 of this app is about saving.

Thanks for your input here. Plaid classifies accounts based on the institution, and Fidelity is considered to be in a different category than most major banks. So yes, this is going to be a common concern across all apps integrating with Plaid. We do eventually want to add features for investment accounts. Hope you'll stay tuned. Until then, good luck and thanks for giving us the chance to look into this!
