This app takes your money but doesn’t function (no lessons) and the developer doesn’t respond to complaints. This does not feel like the “real” Coffee Break languages app, and may be an imposter.

Doesn’t work on iPhone
The app closes whenever my screensaver comes on, which which means it works for like 30 seconds at a time this is useless furthermore, there’s no customer service number on the email that nobody responds to.
A scam?
This app appears to be a scam, which I unfortunately fell for. I’ve been enjoying the podcast and wanted to access the written transcripts. This app allows you to see the first transcript, but after I paid and supposedly purchased the courses, I was unable to open any additional content. I think the developer just copied the logo (which is red and green, not the colors of this guy’s logo) and course format and created a copycat to take people’s money. I’m usually pretty savvy about these things, but I fell for this one. Shame on me, but shame on him.

Cannot access my purchased courses through this app
I am having difficulty in accessing the courses that I have already purchased from CB Academy from a browser. I have to go through a long process of logging in via 2 way verification, finding the course from the 9 that I have purchased that I want to use, and then scrolling down to the specific lesson and then the specific segment of the lesson that I want to access before I can start to use the lesson. I thought that maybe by using this app, I could get back to where I was for the course that I am pursuing via this app without having to take all the steps that I am not taking in the browser. I cannot even log into access the courses that I have purchased with this app. I would have given this app a 0 star rating but in order to provide a review, I had to give it a 1 star rating,

This app doesn’t retain the last listening spot you may be on, even offline and always returns to the beginning.

This app does not retain the same spot if your phone locks or if you save it off-line or close the entire app. You have to start from the beginning.
Unauthorised Russian scam
I’m glad I contacted the real Coffee Break Academy about some questions I had about the price of the course I wanted to buy here and they told me they don’t have an app and what we find here is a Russian scam that stole their content. “The app that you are referring to may be an unauthorised app that has been built by a developer in Russia. You will notice that the app developer is not Radio Lingua. We have already entered a legal process to ensure that this unauthorised app is removed from the App Store.” Crazy… beware!

Glitchy app
Lessons are great but when the phone goes into Lock Screen it stops working. Can’t download the lessons to listen to offline. Tried emailing support but no response.

Fake or Broken
I bought this on there 20% off sale because after you do one lesson and they won’t let you listen to anymore. Well, it turns out that it does absolutely nothing for you and if you go to their website, it’s clear that this app is not associated with them, so this is a scam and I would completely avoid. Just compare the names of the company that creates this app and the one on their website.

This an imitation of the real Coffee Break Language brand. A total scam that needs to be reported
For a business that purports to teach language the description of the app is written very poorly. The cost of the modules is also way below what the real company charges
I don’t like it, way to overstimulating to listen to.
I downloaded this since people were saying it’s easier to learn languages on here than duolingo. But it definitely isn’t for me when it’s just audio and a bunch of lip smacking sending me into overstimulation. I’m autistic so I’m sensitive to noises, I can’t learn from audio where both the woman and man are talking with some lip smacking. I couldn’t even got through 19.2% of lesson one because of how annoying the noises their mouths were making while talking along with the microphone not being good. There was some popping with the mic, I’m gonna try and find a better app that suits my needs as a autistic person.

Lost Access After Paying for Full Access
I had been enjoying CoffeeBreak Italian for quite some time. I’ve gotten up to Intermediate Lesson 30, at which point I was asked to pay $79.99 for “full access to all content.” I submitted payment, and I can no longer access any of the lessons. I keep getting directed to the payment page. This is so disappointing, as I had really been enjoying Coffee Break Italian. Now I have to go through the process of getting a refund for services not rendered.
