Completely broken and mysteriously broken app, when all I need is a coffee and snacks.
Scam
Needed a drink on an Italo train so downloaded this. Never sent text to phone, double checked country code, number, everything. It’s a scam probably for data harvesting, the vending machines should just use tap to pay
Do not download
SMS does not come on time.
Does not work takes all your info
I had to give less information to open a bank account then to get coffee off this app

Can’t get past the registration process with the PIN code. Tried two different phone numbers and didn’t send to either. Dumb app that wasted my time on a train in Italy. Asked one of the train staff and they just advised me to use currency as they never got it to work either
Unable to Register
Registration requires email and phone verification. SMS confirmation code is never sent so registration never completed. Useless app

Ridículo ter que baixar um app para poder pagar um café no trem. Já ouviram falar em UX?
Che fine ha fatto la lotteria degli scontrini? [aggiornata]
Dopo un inizio difficile, CoffecApp ha fatto sempre il suo dovere, con me. Tuttavia, un elemento che apprezzavo in modo particolare era che si potesse inserire il codice per partecipare alla lotteria degli scontrini. Notando che gli ultimi due acquisti non risultavano acquisiti sono andato a controllare nell’App e in effetti mi sembra sia stato rimosso questo dato. Perché? Da ora in poi tornerò a pagare il caffè coi contanti, che peccato… [Ho ricevuto risposta dagli sviluppatori: si tratta di un provvedimento dell’Agenzia delle entrate. Peccato - ma ho aggiunto due stelle]

I just wanted a COFFEE :(
Where do I start: 6:15am at 250km/h and all I wanted was a COFFEE. I had no coins, but….. There is an app - You scan the QR code which links to the app.
Now get ready…
Start to finish to install / register is 15 minutes.
This app has higher password complexity and verification steps than most banking apps.
Then…. email verification and text verification - oh the email will go to your spam :(
Then you can scan QR… COFFEE TIME ? Nope…. :( you need to top up the app first with money and you need to disconnect to top up
It takes 5 minutes for the app to disconnect leaving other coffee fans frustrated
I finally topped up with Apple Pay.. also min €4
It’s worth mentioning ( insult to injury ) the app will ask you if you would like to consent to selling your personal data email / phone number for MARKETING … eh.. NO NEVER!!!
But.. they will probably get hacked and its gonna be stolen anyway

I finally have my espresso and I also I boight one for a frustrated Italian gentleman who we spoke with via Google Translate
you can keep the euro left in the wallet as I’ll prob never ride Italo again

SMS code never sends
As others have said, long registration process and then the final step is an SMS code - this is after it’s already verified your email. Unfortunately the SMS will never get to your phone, and there’s no way to bypass it so you can’t use the service to pay on the train. My partner tried from his android and it’s the exact same behavior. Better find a vending machine that will let you tap to pay or have some euros.

Does not work, frustrating, useless app. Someone should be punished for publishing this and scamming people
Extra stupid App
After prolonged registration and verification of mail and tel number you can’t pay by apple pay or credit card and app asking to insert coins into machine 🙈🙈🙈

Una aplicación que pone para que compres tus cosas y te roba el cambio o no te da el producto y te lo cobra es una aplicación de mierda para nada recomendable
Worst created app I’ve ever encountered
No reason to require both email and cell phone verification to use this. Text to verify cell phone (which is completely pointless when email already verified) never sent no matter how many times I tried. Whoever made this app is a disgrace to humanity.

Don’t bother
Don’t waste your time. Overly complicated and unnecessary to purchase something from a vending machine. App never sent me a pin.

L’app funziona egregiamente. Inizialmente ero titubante ma inserendo la carta, posso accreditare il mio portafoglio. La connessione è facile e veloce.
