Misleading and Expensive - BE VERY CAREFUL
This is my personal experience using the Collect app:
I initially downloaded Collect because it advertised compatibility with Stripe Terminal. What I did not realize—and what I believe the app does a poor job of making clear—is that Collect is not required for Stripe Terminal payments. However, the way the app presents itself made me think it was required in order to process transactions.
Because of this misunderstanding, I used Collect to process about $65,000 in payments, only to later discover that the app charges an additional 1.2% fee on top of Stripe’s own processing fees. I didn’t realize this until after the fact, and the extra fees added up to $783 I hadn’t expected.
If Collect had been transparent about these extra charges—and about the fact that the app is optional for Stripe Terminal—I would never have used it.
This has been a very costly and frustrating experience for me, so I’m sharing this to help others avoid the same mistake.
My advice: DO NOT download this app unless you fully understand the extra fees you’ll be charged. You’ve been warned.

Fraudulent and criminal business. Be aware
After in use for a few days, Stripe decides to completely shut down my account without any explanation. They kept over $7000 to themselves. I did submit my appeal which proves my business is legit and active for over 2 years , even with their invasive request of past 6 months business bank statements, and they still denied me. They claim they are holding the money and will refund my clients in SEVEN DAYS. They play this game with the sellers so they can keep their money, use the money for investments and then refund a week later. Ridiculous and absurd. This company should be shut down and owners should be in jail.

Pretty Good
It’s similar to square in many ways but it has it own unique personality. The fact that you can now accept payment through your phones own built in tap to pay is a well needed feature.

Let me down again
Do not rely on it working without checking before every event that it doesn’t need to update or worse still demand you sign in to an account you don’t actually have
It just works
Other company's apps required fein numbers, ssns, blood samples, etc. Another app does unscheduled backend maintenance without notification.

Always been easy to use
Have used collect for android and iOS and they both have been as easy as you can get when accepting card payments. Great for business with cross platforms.
Only addition I might want to as is option text receipt, but even with out it, it’s short, sweet, & to the point!

Super easy
The reader came in the mail, I set it up at home, and the next day I was able to complete purchases at a trade show. Couldn't be happier.

Crashes. But they only one that syncs your products.
Best payment processor so far
After having being disappointed by almost every processor out there for our business, collect for stripe’s interface is simple and accepting of all payments. Simple. No discrimination. Thanks Collect for Stripe for saving me from another daily headache with other payment processors. Wheeew!!

Due to covid 19, my inactivity and not updating caused my collect to not work. The capable and patient communication with. Mariah Johnson found the problem. Thank you for providing a communication process. Julia Elbon.
So far so good.
I’ve made my first few transaction all have gone fine so far. The last app I used clients were able to finger sign, and was able to capture the card number with my camera, which were features I appreciated, but the app ultimately stopped working with my device. This one the type overlaps and makes it difficult to read, I may be able to fix that adjusting the print size.

This is definitely a scam, still haven’t gave money in my account asked for all this information

We actually do not ask for or gather any sort of user information, banking, etc. but rather we work on top of your Stripe account– Stripe indeed does gather this information. It appears you may actually be mixing us up with Stripe, but Collect for Stripe is its own entity and we want to assure your we have no control at all over your personal information, bank payouts or the balance in your account. We just try to facilitate payment into that account in the most secure and simple way possible. Thanks again! The Collect Team

Don’t Get This Product
I was excited about this credit card reader, especially its integration with Stripe. However, it is NOT WORKING. I’ve tried all of their troubleshooting suggestions. Nothing. And I’ve had ZERO response from Collect after submitting multiple help requests. Save yourself the frustration and go with Square.
