It’s Good…But Still Has Issues
Overall, I tend to go for the app rather than the website. For the most basic of things, the app is great. However, it is absolutely terrible if you want to change your itinerary. I’ve tried multiple times on different trips and I end up having to call Copa to get everything fixed. The last time I tried to change an itinerary (return flight one day earlier than what I booked), the app messed up my itinerary so bad that my flight wasn’t even showing up anymore (which lead to a 45 minute call with Copa). And in this day and age it should be easy for them to make an iPad app. Overall I like Copa Airlines and I like their app for the most basic of things, but some things could definitely be improved.

Pessima
Pessima experiencia, avisaram que precisava imprimir cartão de vacina de febre amarela na hora de despachar a bagagem. Não havia aviso no site e né em lugar nenhum, eram 11 horas da noite e na havia nada aberto para imprimir e estes inúteis nem se prestarem a emprestar uma impressora para tal.

Writing this on April 17 after purchasing ticket on United Airlines with Copa as partner flights. The Copa app does not let me use the app because it mandates entering the phone number and when you select the US country code +1 from their drop-down menu it’s adding 684 after +1 as +1684 !! Are you kidding me?

Em geral o principal uso desse app deveria ser fazer o checkin mas exatamente isso não funciona… Vc vai precisar passar novamente pelo checkin do aeroporto de qualquer maneira já que ele não valida os documentos.

Your booking doesn’t show under MyTrips on the day of your flight
I checked in using the App 24 hrs before my flight but was unable to download my boarding pass because the app was returning an error message. The following day (the day of the flight), I went to the app to download my boarding pass but I don’t see anything under “MyTrips”. When I tried to re-dd it using my reservation code, I get an error message saying “The trip is already in your MyTrips”.

O app simplesmente nao consegue ler e validar documentos. Checkin online é perder tempo. Mesmo se ler vc é obrigado a comprar assento pra finalizar o checkin
Impossible to delete account
Once again, another company that makes it nearly or completely impossible to delete your account and personal data. Vampires. Apple has also failed, yet again, to validate the account deletion flow. The “delete account” link in the app simply navigates you to a page where you’re instructed to email them (and where they ask for a scanned copy of your passport or drivers license to validate you, a massive privacy risk). I emailed them the requested info, sans scanned ID, and immediately received and auto reply saying that a form needs to be filled out and that the email isn’t sufficient. Fools. I filled out the form and heard back from them. They told me they wouldn’t delete my account without a scanned color copy of my passport (even though I was emailing them from my email address associated with my account). I told them they’d never get my ID and that their policy is garbage. Adding insult to injury, Copa won’t even allow you to change your email address or personal info without submitting a convoluted request form. Data vampires. I will NEVER fly their airline. Ever.

I’ve done similar things on literally hundreds of other accounts and the chance of these people actioning an account deletion is next to zero. Adding insult to injury, Copa won’t even allow you to change your email address or personal info without submitting a convoluted request form. More data vampires. Americans have absolutely no rights.

Terrible app
We signed up. Entered email and password to make an account. I even screen shot it. Went to log in. Kept saying it was incorrect lol. Terrible app.
All I get is red boxes
This app is so unstable. I’m having serious doubts if I will be able to check into my flights using this app. All I get is a red box saying “something failed, please try again”

Porqueria versión “beta”
No escaneen los pasaportes con su nueva versión beta o tendrán que ir a terminal 2 a hacer la fila porque la aplicación es tan mala que niega el pase de abordar. El call center en inglés es horrible me colgaron 3 veces y no son para nada “helpful” trataban de que les cerrara el teléfono para no ayudarme. Gracias por nada Copa!
