Poor Onboarding
Went through the onboarding process but didn’t have my ID to hand, returned later to complete the onboarding to find that I can no longer proceed to have an account.
Reached out to multiple support channels just to be told they can’t proceed with my application at this time because they were unable to verify my identity.

Financial Harm + Four months unable to use my Curve card
My Curve card has been suspended without explanation for approximately four months and remains suspended today.
I've repeatedly contacted Curve support and been told that my case has been escalated to a specialist team. Despite months of waiting and chasing, there has been no meaningful explanation or resolution.
Curve has actually acknowledged that the situation is "outside of the SLA by quite the margin". I've asked whether I can speak to the escalation team or have another card issued, but neither is possible while my account is blocked.
The suspension has also caused practical and financial problems, including being unable to access refunds held within Curve and having to use alternative cards for foreign transactions.
I've now reported the matter to the Financial Ombudsman.

Think twice before signing u
⚠️ Think twice before signing up for Curve Pay.
I applied for Curve Pay and completed their identity verification, including submitting my ID and selfie/video verification. After providing all of this highly sensitive personal information, Curve rejected my application.
When I asked why I couldn’t be verified, Curve refused to explain what information had led to the decision and told me the decision was final.
I then requested that my personal data be deleted. Curve told me they intend to retain the data collected during their due-diligence process for up to 10 years, until 31 August 2036.
What concerns me most is that I provided sensitive identity information, including ID and selfie verification, without ultimately being allowed to open an account, and I am now being told that some of this information may remain on their systems for a decade.
I cannot say that Curve is “stealing” personal data, because I don’t have evidence of that. But based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that people understand exactly what personal information Curve collects, who it is shared with, why it is retained, and for how long before signing up.
For me, the combination of an unexplained rejection and the retention of sensitive personal information for 10 years is a major privacy concern.
Do your research before handing over your ID and biometric/selfie information to Curve.

Rubbish support
App glitched and froze, support basically said go away. I did
ID verification failed
Somehow failed ID verification with my driving license, rather than letting me submit additional proof of ID the app decided that I had to contact their support team instead. Waste of time.
