For the love of god with all the units Daikin sells you would think they would have an app that would work? No all the apps are by third party creators because they failed miserably to create an app to be able to use effectively for their ridiculously over priced air con units. Shockingly bad software
At least 9 out of 10 connection tries come back with an error message. When it finally does connect, it is very slow and does not offer the full functionality of the physical panel.

Look at different brand if wifi automation is desired
Daikin has copious feedback as shown in other reviews. They are accurate as this app and control method are unreliable and inconsistent. Even reconnecting each time is hit and miss.
Daikin ignores this feedback. At its financial peril as I’d suggest shop elsewhere if this aspect was important to you which in the IOT age, it is increasingly becoming.
They now sell another device however still were selling this and not updating it. Penny wise, pound foolish.

Behind the times - what about automation?
1 star because it does actually work, if a bit unreliable at times. However, this app and the controller needs to get with the times. Should support home automation with any and all of google home, Alexa and apple home as well. Needs a graphic designer to make it look better and needs far more advanced configuration settings.

Suggestion
Instead of having the quick on and off selection in hours. Can I suggest being able to select an actual time (eg: 0600 or 1800) instead of trying to work out how many hours until the time I want it to turn on or off.

Surely a company like Daikin could do better than this.

$500 for an app that works sometimes. Not good enough! Not impressed with Daikin at all, will never use this company again!

Works about 1 or 2 in 100 times doesn’t connect comes up with errors, slow when it does work, not good enough for what you pay. I’ll be getting a Mitsubishi Electric a/c for my new house. Their app works great.

Very slow to connect, if it ends up connecting. App Barely gets updated, no money is spent by Daikin improving this experience at all. Waste of money having the wireless option on my aircon. Don’t bother spending the money.
Just walk to the panel
Sometimes takes better part of a minute to connect. Takes seconds for options to be applied and they sometimes revert. Timed on/off sometimes doesn’t work. Save time and just stand up and walk to the panel.
On the positive it is convenient to enable aircon before you arrive home via internet... when it works.

WORST APP EVER!!
Company fails to listen to clients needs. App is so out of date it’s not funny!! Get your act together Daikin people pay money to have wifi controllers on their unit for a reason so do your part and keep your app up to date. Design looks like a kid drew it, the fact you cannot change sensors from the app is rediculous!!!

Temperamental at best
App only connects when it feels like it. Timer function says it’s on but only works sporadically, which is very annoying and costs money. This app is great idea but a complete waste of time!! Surprising that a company that advertises themselves as the best in their field can’t deliver an app that works!! Come on Daikin sort it out.
