This app saved our trip! We had so many issues trying to set up thaitag and using prompt pay while in Thailand and because we didn’t bring any AUD it wasn’t possible.
We wanted something I could set up in the hotel room and continue travelling without going to the bank and giving them AUD. Besides the app being abit slow to load sometimes everything worked really well !! Super happy with this and it made our trip so much easier being able to pay for things using the QR scan.

DON’T BOTHER!
My experience with Deep Pocket has been extremely disappointing and has left me without access to my own money when I needed it most.
I deposited funds into the platform with the expectation that I would be able to use them for everyday transactions and transfers. However, when I attempted to transfer THB 10,000 to pay my rent, I was informed via Messenger that transfers were limited to approximately THB 1,700 per transaction. This limitation was not made clear to me beforehand and came as a complete surprise.
Even more concerning, I was then told that I should not make too many transfers because multiple transactions could trigger restrictions or suspension of my account. I was advised that making more than five transfers could create issues, despite the fact that five transfers would not even allow me to move the full THB 10,000 required to pay my rent.
The situation became even worse when my account was subsequently restricted and my funds effectively became inaccessible while I was asked to provide documents and wait for a review process that could take several business days. During this time, I still had financial obligations to meet, but no practical access to my own money.
The combination of undisclosed transfer limitations, warnings about making multiple transfers, account restrictions, lengthy review periods, and poor communication has created an experience that I can only describe as stressful and wholly unsuitable for anyone who needs reliable access to their funds.
Financial services depend on trust, transparency, and predictability. In my experience, Deep Pocket failed on all three counts.
Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this app proceed with extreme caution and carefully consider whether they are comfortable with the possibility of unexpected transfer restrictions and delayed access to their funds.

Works good for me
I have downloaded the app after a similar company unexpectedly paused my account for QR payments abroad. Had to retake photo of my ID several times for the check but everything else worked well and it was easy to set up an account to use it. Tried several payments including bills and QR payments. All worked seamlessly. Would be great if PEA could be added amongst companies to pay bills to. Thank you.

Spent an hour providing ID then it says card inactive - not working from Australia I assume.
Not for tourists
The ads shown on TikTok are scam, this is for long-term Thai foreigners, not tourists, even though you give your passport you need at least 1 Thai document, total waste of time
Worst customer service and features
For 3 years I used it, the developers try to make something more stupid from that last fail, first it was % from each transfer, then 3000 Bhat limit, now it is 1700 Bhat for each transaction, so

It works, with a major caveat
I was able to do all the ID checks, top up my account, and spend money using QR codes. The issue is that it's not possible to take out money if you're a foreigner into another bank account. I contacted customer service about this, and they mentioned that they have no plans of supporting this feature. This is a serious flaw.

Blocked the money
They blocked the money in my account. First, they told me to go to the sender's bank, but after I visited, they told me to go to the police station. The funds were never unblocked.

Terrible verification system. I’ve attempted it dozens of times and it keeps rejecting my photo for being ‘blurry’ or ‘face doesn’t match.’ Completely frustrating and a waste of time.
