There’s no way to cancel on their site. I’ve emailed them,they never emailed back. I found a phone number they took my info. No call back. It sucks being scammed

Perfect length summaries
Most other summaries are too short, and they lack context, Deepstash seems to be a more comprehensive learning experience. Please consider an option to disable the quizzes, they disrupt the flow of the learning experience, and the questions and choices are absolutely ridiculous, complete waste of time.

Scam
They will not let you cancel after the free trial. I had to change my account number because they keep trying to run an annual subscription. I’ve taken screenshots and have reported to the FCC and a few other choice agencies. Amazon has just settled a lawsuit for this exact reason. Let’s see where this one goes.

Impossible to cancel
I trialed this app for a week and although I cancelled on the app and website, it auto renewed my free trial then auto renewed and charged me. I again cancelled the subscription and the same thing happened. Even though they charged me for an annual subscription, they charged me again a month later. I called and reached their “digital assistant.” I couldn’t reach a live human.
They also don’t let you know when they will be withdrawing funds. They just withdraw them. Absolutely terrible

Work centric
The app is user friendly and it’s fun to sift through summaries of popular nonfiction that I’ll never read otherwise. It sucks that it turns every book no matter the topic into a self help or lesson about the corporate world. I’m on this app to disassociate. Please don’t make me think about work when I’m not trying to. A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking has zero to do with self help or the corporate world. But the summary and quiz make it feel like a LinkedIn article. I cancelled my subscription after that.

Scarce and Inadequate
Very sparse selection of book summaries. I tried to cancel after 1 day. Ha! They make it intentionally difficult. I reached out to a response via email and they did not reply.
Work on advertising
Your advertising presents as though this is a free application. You even describe it as Tiktok, which is completely free. You get asked all of your interests. Just to hit a paywall. A subscription at that. I would actually use the app if it was free.
Worst customer support
Worst customer support. I was told to email them and quote the code Apple0941, and they assured me my message would be picked up. Guess what? It has now been 20 days, and I still haven’t received any reply.
Absolutely shameful and disappointing customer service. Don’t make promises publicly if you have no intention of following up.

Bait & switch
This started off ok, but the subscription was expensive. I got suckered in by the discount offer but after a few weeks I noticed the content was inconsistent and the texts were poorly edited (spelling and grammar errors). Then it presented me with a quote from Peter Thiel as if he could ever be a role model. Rip-off.

Very deceptive billing practices. I signed up and paid for a short trial period, but found I was charged for several more time periods than I had agreed to pay. Customer service still has not corrected.

Beware signing up for the free trial
The app itself is good enough I guess. I wasn’t interested so after the Free trial, they make it completely impossible to cancel. I spent half an hour on the phone with Apple rep, trying to cancel and she couldn’t even figure it out. It’s just so incredibly poor customer service. So bad. Honestly, that alone is worth not signing up for the app.
