This app has zero seller protection. Funny enough, the sellers make the platform what it is today. It’s much better to find alternatives than this platform, trust me.
A second SHEIN app
I used to love Depop and still do enjoy browsing, but it is so oversaturated with SHEIN items that I might as well buy directly from them. A brand filter is desperately needed.
Update idea
this is a really great app to use when selling and buying!! however i think it would make a buying experience better if you could get notified when someone you follow has a new listing!

Flagged me for counterfeit
This app flagged my authentic Coach (with tags on) bags and my Vera Bradley (with tags on) bags as counterfeit. I appealed, they wouldn’t allow the appeal AND they suspended my account indefinitely. I have over $100 in my balance and everyone received their REAL items fast, because I shipped them the day of or the following day of purchase. I have NEVER been treated with such disrespect in my life. The bot system they use is awful. When the lawsuit comes out, I’ll be the first one to join. App Store, you should not allow this app to be used.

Shadowbanning
After the 1st week of Depop boosting your items you get little to no sales even when you boost them yourself and have clear and good photos. They push your products out the first week to get you hooked and then stop resulting in your listings getting pushed to the very bottom of the feed.
Awful app!
This is genuinely a terrible terrible app . Do not sell on this app ever just use Vinted . Your stuff never gets any views . And when it does you get about 4 offers and the offers r ridiculous . Do not even bother trying to sell . U can have something up for £2 and it wont even sell

Lovely for my small business selling handmade jewelry! I do miss the free shipping though, customers buy less often. I hope y’all are able to bring it back soon. Current version has bugs, I can’t scroll all the way to the bottom of my shop so I can’t see all my sold items.
Depop balance
I love Depop. Everything is so easy to find, multiple categories and great pricing, HOWEVER, I prefer Vinted. Because I can use my Vinted balance to make in app purchases. It only makes sense. For those of us uncomfortable with putting our bank info on the app, using the Depop balance would be like a store credit. So we sell items and without the bank info we can only use the balance in app!

supports scammers
i had done trades with a certain seller who happened to be verified and they gave me tops that were horribly sewn and ripped and depop supported their side since they were verified and saying theyre going to ban my account when i was the one who was scammed. the other seller had also left me bad reviews calling me immature for leaving a review about what happened and got my reviews taken down. depop is not a fair app and will always take verified sellers side even when theyre in the wrong. DONT GET THIS APP!!

BEWARE OF SCAMS
I've gotten 5 scam emails from "buyers" and I've been scammed out of $400. This is a terrible place to sell your clothing and I'd recommend ANY OTHER APP. PLEASE DO NOT SELL HERE OR AT LEAST BEWARE. YOU WILL GET YOUR MONEY WIRED AWAY BY SCAMMERS.
