Great idea
Excellent place to source niche items
Should have better shipment protection for fragile items
Response from developer
Hi Meera, Thank you for your feedback, and I'm sorry to hear that your CD arrived damaged. After reviewing the order, it appears that the item was already damaged when received from the merchant. Scout does not intentionally ship damaged products, and we certainly understand how disappointing it is to receive a fragile collectible in less than expected condition. We take packaging and shipment protection seriously, especially for fragile items. However, there are instances where products arrive from the merchant with concealed damage that is not visible until the package is opened. If you haven't already contacted our support team, please reach out through the app with photos of the item and packaging so we can review the case and determine the appropriate resolution. We value your feedback and are always looking for ways to improve the handling of fragile items. If we have already resolved the issue for you or if this clarification helps, I would appreciate it if you could consider updating your review to reflect the final outcome. Scout Team
Worst app ever !!

Hi Ravnoor123, Thank you for your feedback, and I'm sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. I'd like to clarify that Scout only cancels orders when we're unable to successfully secure the item from the merchant. Common reasons include the item being out of stock, a price change after checkout, merchant restrictions, or the merchant declining the order. We understand how disappointing cancellations can be, and we're continuously working to reduce them. Regarding refunds, when an order is canceled, any authorized amount is automatically released back to the original payment method. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it can take several business days for the funds to appear on your statement. We certainly do not expect customers to repeatedly contact us to receive a refund. I'd be happy to personally review your order history and the specific refunds you're referring to. If we find that we could have handled the situation better, we'll take that feedback seriously and improve. If your concerns have been addressed or clarified, I would appreciate it if you could consider updating or removing this review, as it may not reflect how refunds and order cancellations are handled today. Doesn’t get the job done

Hi Templar Samurai, Thank you for your feedback. I've personally reviewed your account and noticed that out of the 12 orders placed through Scout, we successfully processed and delivered 3 orders. The majority of the canceled orders were due to significant price mismatches between the price shown on the product page and the actual price charged by the merchant at checkout. Scout is not a marketplace—we purchase items directly from third-party merchants on behalf of customers. When a merchant advertises an item at an incorrect price or the actual checkout price is substantially higher than the listed price, we cannot proceed with the purchase at a loss. To be fair to all customers, we do not substitute products, inflate prices, or charge unexpected amounts without approval. Instead, we cancel the order and release the authorized payment. In many of these cases, the actual selling price from the merchant was considerably higher than the price shown on the listing. If a merchant is willing to honor the advertised price directly, you may have better success purchasing from that website yourself. We genuinely appreciate the orders that were successfully completed and delivered to you, and we're always happy to process future orders where the merchant's pricing is accurate and available. If this helps clarify why the orders were canceled, I would appreciate it if you could consider updating or removing your review, as the cancellations were driven by merchant pricing discrepancies rather than a failure of the Scout service itself.
