Way too many subscription requests

I really can’t say much about the app itself because I couldn’t get past the repeated enticements to subscribe to a paid platform. I’m not one to jump through multiple pages of required pages wanting to get me to upgrade just to use the free platform. After I got through the first time I thought it was over, but it continued to require me to tap through pages on the second use just to attempt to use it. I immediately deleted it and unsubscribed from their email list.

Response from developer

Hi, I'm very sorry to hear this. If you see an upgrade offer in the app, just close it, you're all set. Please reach out to us at contact@gococo.app for any questions or help you may need getting started.

Free

This is not a free app like it advertises

Warning

I did the trial but got no warning to cancel and it took the money still thought I had a couple of days left looks ok

Scan

The food I had on my plate was not the food that showed up on the scan

Didn’t try it

I personally will not install any app that requires subscription. I would definitely purchase the app for a one time payment but I won’t subscribe. I can’t stand the subscription model and I refuse to participate in it.

This is not a diabetes food tracker

This is a weightloss app. I want to track glycemic index and couldn’t access the app without giving my age, weight, gender, etc.

Help

This app is so frustrating. I enter breakfast fine. Then, when I want to enter Lunch, it calls IT breakfast. 😡

A great idea that is not ready

I thought this app would help me with type1 diabetes management and weight loss but it fals far short of what it could do. The database is not ready for the UK and it is too USA centric for British or indeed European users. It would not recognise a meal I had pictured and for all its good intentions is not fit for purpose yet.

Condescending

Useful for getting some idea of what you’re eating and whether it’s ultra processed. Doesn’t recognise most of the food I eat and have to put it all in manually.
Very difficult to set in “my foods” for things you eat regularly (managed it once but can’t repeat that trick!)
However, the most annoying part of the app is just how condescending it is. You could eat the perfect meal and it would still find something to berate you for. As an example, I had baked beans, and the comment was “next time swap them for low sugar variety” - they were! Eating slices of whole meal bread, “nice slice of wholemeal bread, next time swap it for the wholemeal variety”. Just get fed up with being moaned at with every single meal. Even eating some fruit, “next time have some nuts” - this app makes me want to just go to eating junk food and not worry about my health.

Miss important Activity Level

I am disabled and confined to a mobility chair, on oxygen 24/7. You don’t have a program for the disabled

Question

This is my second day, but yesterday I took photo of breakfast and that was good, but at lunch it called photo breakfast again. Odd.

Needs more food

I feel like I should’ve used the trial period as much of the food I scan isn’t recognised . I’m not tracking food or meals I eat , I just use the barcode reader for info on the score and any blood sugar warnings of the food I buy . Another downside ( not the fault of the app ) while in supermarkets actual network connection is patchy so it can often have problems connecting .. unsure they can fix that.
Update - the more I use it the more I find bugs , the more I note brands and foods are missing, the more it frustrates me . Has potential but maybe in six months and more bug fixing .

Awful app management

What a terrible app that forces you to go through a long drawnout process to remove it

Daily Use Important

Very useful determining food impact on glucose levels

What l can eat

This app is great in helping me in deciding the foods l can eat and those I should avoid

Timing out

While uploading meal it times out all the time I have to retry many times then give up

Skeptical

I haven’t used this app yet, but I am skeptical about its application. I’m wondering if they’re going to charge me I’m wondering if this is really about helping me lose weight are them scamming me for making money but I need to do something before I just flat out die so I’m gonna give it a chance. Here goes nothing, well here goes everything.

Just ok

It’s missing many foods and many brands and it does track fibre which is critical for managing diabetes.
