Easy to Use, Full of Features, and Versatile

UPDATE, YEARS LATER: I'm not the world's most doing-things guy, but when I feel the need to organize outside my own head, I still go here and I still find it easy, simple, and supremely satisfying. It works the way my mind works. My search for a better To Do Organizer ended when I found this one. Amazing how it calms me down and makes me feel productive. I still say, God bless the creator(s) of this app, and Apple should give them tons of money and put it on every device.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

Best organizer I’ve tried. And I’ve tried many.

I like keeping my To Do’s separate from my long range calendar. There’s less revising that way. This has all the calendar I need for my To Do’s —that is, three days: Today, Tomorrow, and Later. That’s how I think, and I bet I’m not alone.

This is a tool, not an overlord. It can handle complicated if you want, but it can stay simple, too—even when you are using it for lots of things. Sorting necessary tasks into “Today” and “Tomorrow” and “Later” allows for real life planning AND DOING and doesn’t get overwhelming. You can park your other tasks into the various “Life” lists (which are genius as templates), keeping your projects there, and then transfer tasks from those projects to your Today-Tomorrow-Later lists as need arises. (And doing that is a one-step operation. Brilliantly simple!). It all connects together easily and beautifully. Apple should buy this app and sell it with their operating system.

As the app’s guidance says (in helpful but not intrusive reminders), keeping your daily To Do’s to around 5 a day means that you don’t get overwhelmed and that you have a chance of getting them done. That’s true for me, anyway; maybe I stop and smell the roses too much. (You can go to a higher number if needed, but I avoid those kinds of days.)

This app really helps me feel successful at day’s end without feeling frazzled. Hits the sweet spot. Organizing for the next day is a simple matter and almost a pleasure. THANK YOU, Mr./Ms. Developer. You are very smart. And kind, to be sharing this neat app with us mortals.

Almost forgot: there’s no subscription!! You buy the package and it’s yours! Perfect!

Over this app

Frequent crashes for years. Disappearing new items after saving to a list. I open my app today and find most of my life lists gone. So I go ahead and restore from back ups and then proceed to lose all my today, tomorrow and later tasks. And every life list has every item duplicated. Their sync troubleshooting reported and still reports no problems and finds no duplicates to remove. I appreciate losing important items. Pretty much the opposite of what this app is supposed to do. Find something more polished instead. I’m going to.

List

I like this list app very much. It would improve it if you had the ability to add things mid list not just at the top or the bottom. It would also be nice to be able to rearrange the order of the items.
