Love the app but messaging is glitchy
I love this app. I have felt it was a really great way to manage all of my documents and communication between my advisor and my tax professionals. However, messaging has always been very glitchy. Sometimes I have to default to just messaging through because I cannot send messages through the app, which is really frustrating. If this was fixed, I would give it a five stars.

Great but missing some key features
I have been loving the SoFi App just as an app to manually add an institution i have funds in but plaid doesn’t offer it for one example. So my net worth is never fully up to date. The ability to go in and categorize each transaction is another big one. Hopefully you guys plan in the future?? Thanks
Update: I’m updating the review because I appreciate the feedback from the team and truly believe this app could be a complete game changer. I strongly believe those 2 features are critical not only for the consumers, but the advisors as well. It would allow ppl to know where they stand all 4 quarters of the year which can only help both parties in decision making, fully understanding what is going where and why, and can eliminate a lot of time regarding getting all your deductions together amongst many other things that can only be beneficial for both parties. Oh, lastly I didn’t see anything about a SEP IRA. Do you guys only offer Traditional and Roth IRAs? Thanks!

Hi Champ0506, Thank you for your feedback. We agree that being able to see your full net worth is important, and are looking at making adding manual accounts available when Plaid does not support an institution. We'll look into the transaction categorization as well. All the best, Domain Money Team

As for the other concerns you're raised:
We currently have email verification codes which you can use as a two factor by choosing to not remember the device you are logging in through when logging in via the website. On mobile, we also offer biometric login. We're are also exploring supporting multi-factor authentication, but we do not have a set timeline to roll it out.
Currently there is no way to prevent the advisor from seeing your documents as they are responsible to work with our compliance team to verify the documents as they have to go through human verification. That is why there is no additional actions after uploading the documents. I've flagged the crashing issues to our engineering team and they are looking into it.
We have links to our disclosures through out the app and at every important point of action. When you register, we have links to both our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use which by registering you agree to. When finalizing the deposit, we provide another set of disclosures as well as a link to our full list of disclosures
The log out button is in the hamburger menu.
You can enable biometrics when you set up your account on the app and you can disable biometrics through your devices native settings.
I've passed the feedback on the advisor button to our product team to consider.
seems good for high yield savings but there’s no support for passkey or two factor authentication so that’s a red flag Another red flag is during the set up of the identity verification it requires a chat with the assigned advisor and a picture of your ID which is unusual for banking setups. And it crashes at this point of the user flow. Asks for ssn without disclosures on security There’s no dedicated sign out button There’s no dedicated setting to enable or disable biometrics There’s misleading buttons that indicate to free users that there are free unlimited messaging with your financial advisor despite that being a premium subscription feature Linking other accounts is not advised until they can close security gaps Overall this seems too half baked to fully trust with any meaningful amounts of money

Bad app
The app automatically logs you out when you leave for even a few seconds. Which is highly annoying since it’s not prompting my password manager to save my password and email/username, so I’m having to retype it all. Also, there’s a banner at the bottom of the login page OF THE APP that says “get the app”… seems like this app just needs a lot of work. Hopefully the bank is better than their app!

Domain is offering an invaluable service
Money management is hard and stressful. Sometimes it’s easier for me to just ignore what I’m doing with my money than work to fix it. Working with Domain is taking the stress away and making me realize that my financial goals are much easier to reach than I thought. Working with my CFP gives me a judgement-free space to work through my bad money habits as well as great guidance towards creating good ones.
I’m still early in the process, but I’m very impressed with Domain so far. I haven’t used the app to invest, but meeting with my CFP is well worth the monthly fee by itself. Domain is very affordable and is giving me an opportunity to think about my money and my financial goals on a whole new level.

This is a complete game changer
Domain has solved the huge intimidating stack of finance questions and problems I’ve been letting pile up over the years. For the first time ever I feel like all my money questions about my 401k, IRA, etc are all under control. Being able to talk with a CFP as much as I want is such a game changer. App not working
For 4 days now I have not had access to my assets. The app is not working properly. The support team will not get me access to my assets. Makes me very nervous. I would not recommend this app. Very unreliable and shady.

The point of crypto investing is to have freedom to do whatever you please with it so when BTC is tanking and falling fast you should be able to withdraw and wait until you see a rise in the market or Bearish pull the app itself is smooth and easy to use but it’s like your crypto is locked and you can’t do much with it but watch it sit there and decrease

Funding option incomplete
People like me who make use of credit union banks mostly have difficulties linking through plaid. Linking through trial deposit would have been a very helpful option.

I thoroughly enjoy the strategies. The app is clean and intuitive. There are nice ways to explore and watch the information. Overall, it has become my favorite app for investing. As a long time crypto believer, I think this product is great for crypto investment, with the knowledgeable experts behind it.

Cost Basis Inflated
Please be extra careful on how they handle your trades, I’ve had a horrible experience just two days ago where the portal issued a notice stating “delay in crypto trades” which came after halting any crypto trades for a period of time.
Within this time frame, my trade that was placed 10.34am was confirmed at 11.18am with the highest price point reached within that time frame. On top of this, the price graph you see on Domain Money platform is actually NOT the price that your trade may/may not be executed at since they use Gemini as their trading partners. Overall, I ended up with a trade that had a cost base highly inflated whether that was due to Domain Money’s or Gemini’s doing I cannot be certain but please be extra careful.
