I have been a fan of Doughnut Plant for 20+ years. I love the level of consistency throughout the years. Every bite is delicious and highly satisfying whether it’s the cake or yeast donut. Thank you for existing!

Buggy app
Does not even let me checkout after adding items into the cart. Just shows a grayed out checkout button and states $0 although there are multiple doughnuts added for pickup in the cart. The rewards system is annoying too, was so much easier when the rewards were automatic upon checkout in the store

The rewards are not being added to your account and then no one replies to your requests for help.

I have been going to original doughnut plant since it opened. So happy there is one by my apartment
App and online ordering outside the app is such a pain
I love Doughnut Plant and I usually order online and ask a friend who works near GCT to pick it up for me. After upgrading their app on Monday, I installed it on my phone and found out it doesn’t take my gift card ( I have 2 100USD gift cards I received for Christmas). I tried online ordering on my laptop but there is no option to use gift cards. ( which they have before “fixing” the app).

App doesn’t load properly
Horrible!
This app is horrible. It is unintuitive and so difficult to use. I’m guessing this app was created and maintained by a 6 year old. Go to the store to order your doughnuts. Don’t waste your time on here.

Bad UX
Being a UX designer, here’s what I’m seeing:
1)it felt pretty aggressive for me to create an account from the beginning...I would rather hav that done at the end of the process...
2)the UI of the menu is poorly designed. First of all, it takes you to some cheap web view of the menu...I would expect it to have the look and feel of the native app. Also there aren’t any photos of the donuts to help with shopping experience...
3) the menu(with photos) should be front and center and should be the ‘home page’
4)didn’t care about the scan feature(or locations)
5)also didn’t care about rewards...maybe create a ‘profile’ feature, and store rewards there? Anyways, they should rethink the IA of their features
6) I didn’t dare start the purchase flow given the bad UX from the beginning...
Waiting for improvements...I’m deleting this for now...

Great Doughnuts, Flawed App
I love Doughnut Plant doughnuts, so it's super nice to be rewarded for my customer loyalty. I continue to use this app, but it has never really worked right. It's seriously buggy. Aside from paying for purchases I can't access any of the other features.
Overcharged and no discounts
Used this app to pay for 3 months. Everything worked great until today when I got charged $22.00 for a location that I never even visited.
This app is scary and dangerous. I've deleted it and I regret ever putting my credit card details into it.
Don't waste your time or money. Just pay with a card or cash instead.

Why do I need to put my credit card info??
Why would I want to have my credit card saved in an app for a doughnut store? It was such a process to get this app loaded, put a user name and password and then I'm asked to put my credit card info in. WHY? Just to buy a doughnut? No thanks. Delete.
