Terrible app, terrible service
Very buggy app. The time and date you set changes randomly. Have had to re-upload photos of cars multiple times because app doesn’t clock them for whatever reason. Live chat hopeless even when questions are written in the plainest English possible.
Good but needs tweaking
An excellent way to rent a car. But then unlocking process took an hour due to technical difficulties and a chat bot.
Please avoid!
The worst experience ever. Made bookings from the host: Terry’s hire, twice! Both bookings were waste of time and effort. First booking North Melbourne, description was pick up key from host, Terry the host didn’t show up, didn’t even bother to response, answer my call or message me. Second booking, same host, Docklands van. Arrived at pick up location, then only he sent throught instruction, told me to download external keyless unlock app on the spot, under the rain! Tried multiple times, he told me the battery was flat, can’t access the van. Come on man! Is this how you operate your business? Leave your van there for years and still advertise it on the platform? What if other guest drove half way then it broke down? So irresponsible!

Terry then re direct me to another car in city. I have to drive all the way to city to pick up the van. No clear instruction given on how to pick up the van, therefore I ended up have to pay the parking fine in the parking center. He is the one who told me I can use his access card to tap in & out of the parking center, now I have to pay $100 fine for his irresponsibility. The main point is how can drivemate didn’t even bother to have a routine check on these kind of irresponsible host? And charge me $100 beforehand, without investigating the case. 2 out of 2 bookings with you guys was unsuccessful! Is this a joke? A platform to waste money and time?

Amazing app
The app is great, I could rent my car and the support is amazing, they are really helpful.
Unprofessional service
The app doesn’t work when taking photos of the car or odometer and then they charge you 5 times what it initially said on the webpage for 12 hours of use to drive in Sydney. I definitely don’t recommend to anyone. Stay away from the company.

This app is not fit for purpose
This app is totally disfunctional and impossible to use. The email verification process does not work - I did not receive SNY emails. The ID verification process is super clunky. The chat function is asynchronous so can’t get real time help

App won’t work meaningfully unless full access to everything is enabled; and it drained my battery from full to empty in <20 minutes (of getting customer service since car remote unlocking failed). Customer service was nice but app is a POS sadly

Unable to complete verification process as the online form via the app and website does not allow me to press the button to actually complete the verification. An app designed to make renting a car easier and is so far off the mark. Just use nobirds and save yourself the hassle l

Took the metro to Chatswood and walked to the car. Easy pickup through the app. Worked well. Car was clean
Don’t bother
I’ve been looking for a new car share app since the old one I used was shut down and thought I would try this out. Big mistake. The app doesn’t show updated availability so I was able to book a car which wasn’t actually available. The car owner requested I cancel the booking which I did and I am still waiting for a refund over a week later. Their support is beyond useless and can’t offer any help aside from reading off a script and offering inaccurate information.

SCAM - Stay away from this!
App crashed as per other users trying to pick up. Worked out using web app. Crashed on returning and after working out got a late charge that was more than the rent. Obviously a SCAM

Do not use this company.
Terrible customer service. They take your documents and refuse to verify you and say you can’t use the service. Try to get assistance from chat only to be told your complaint is not valid. Hoping that my ID info doesn’t get stolen or leaked as there is no way to delete your info or account.
Frauds!
Advertised the van in north manly, I want to pick it up, it was actually in Lewershim, I called the vans owner (no reply), then I called support (cant understand their English) and then they try their best to convince me it’s not their fault!

App continuously crashes
This app is about as bad as it gets. The vehicle pick up/drop off process does not work. The app either stalls or crashes.
You then need to contact support to help you manually do this process. Which takes a very long time. When sending messages to support, the app crashes on average after every second message or photo sent.
