Very convenient, super simplistic, love it
Not everything works as advertised
Rest of the app is good.
Great and minimalist
Cool design, poor functionality
Love this app, have been using it for most of a year
They have premade workouts you can choose, but I have only created my own customized ones (that is, creating it in their app from trusted programs I have researched/found online, not “making it up myself,” because that would be silly), so I can’t say how valid theirs are. But it’s easy/intuitive to create your own routine, and create your own custom exercises if they don’t have the exact one you want already set up. They do have a ton already in there to choose from, and you can pick them based on like, upper body, glutes, etc.
You can make several different routines, like if you’re doing a PPL split, and put them in a folder so they show up grouped on your main page, so later if you switch to a full-body 3-day split you can sort of ignore the other ones. You can also tell it the frequency when you want to do each one, or the day of the week, and it will remind you which one is next or remind you that today is Push, for instance.
As you are doing the workout, you can start it and have exercises set on durations that you set, then it automatically will run the interval timer you’ve set for working/resting period and log them. I use this interval setting for like, planks, at the beginning of my workout, and then a dead hang at the end. Then when you’re done with that exercise, it starts the rest timer (as you have set it) for between sets.
The screen is black and white, and it will beep for the intervals and then beep for the rest timer, and between sets the rest timer visually shows how much more time you have, which is kind of nice - I like that when someone is asking if you’re close to being done, so I can show them “30 more seconds rest then one more set,” easily. Or if I’m up and walking around to get in some steps when I walk by I can see visually if it’s almost time to be starting the next set.
When you log the last set of one, the screen comes up to show the next exercise. It shows what you did for sets/reps/weights the last time. If you want to log something different this time, it’s easy to adjust and then check the box as you complete each set. There is also a little notes section, like if you want to note that the last set was extra hard today or that the green handle kettlebell is the one you want for x weight, or whatever.
The name is also a feature within the app - if you want to do a drop set for any of the exercises, you can quickly add that as a special thing and it will create it as a sub to the last set. And you can record the RPE for each set, if you want.
There are charts for each exercise where you can see total weight for the day over time, or heaviest weight, or 1-rep max, or total reps.
There is also a calendar view where you can see which days you’ve logged workouts, and you can set each workout to have a distinctive symbol so you can see which ones you were doing on those days.
You can also easily set up supersets, so for instance if you want to do bicep curls/tricep extensions, it will go from logging the curl right into the screen for the extensions, then have a rest between the supersets.
It’s not free, but there is a trial membership, and for me the functionality is so much exactly what I want that I am happy to pay for it.
Great Idea With Increasing Instability Issues
Finally
Great app
Perfect
Aesthetic and practical perfection. The only app you need 🐐
This app is the grail and I hope it stays on the market for everyone to enjoy.
The only thing i would ever think it could improve with is keep the app as it is, but make it apple smart watch accessible, even if it’s just basic one page tracking.
If the advertising was better placed like more on YouTube I bet you would be making money like a bank.
Five stars even as it is ❤️
