We have fixed some minor things that you probably won't notice, but hopefully still will give you a better experience in the app.

Return Trip

Thank you for updating the app. Just one observation, I used to be able to purchase my tickets both to and fro a destination, but now it appears I don’t have the option to purchase the return trip. After the app’s update it appears I need to purchase the departure and the return trips separately. Grateful if this can be fixed

Rubbish

I tried to set up an account. There is keyboard to type in my information. Totally useless.

Creepy

They want access to my mobility and health data? Creepy. No way!

Neither Dutch or German railways apps require this. DSB seem to only be able to calculate fairs based on my mobility data. I rather not.

Response from developer

To calculate the correct fare when using the Check In feature in the app, you need to allow access to your phone's location and motion/fitness activity while travelling. We do not access or - Anita

Easy

Super easy to use DSB app and nice clean trains

Do Not use it!

Do not waste your time with this app. The app has a serious issue with the ticket purchase flow. I selected Plan and Buy, chose a train from Copenhagen to Malmö, and instead of letting me purchase a ticket, the app forced me into a seat reservation only flow. It then redirected me to reserve bike space—even though I wasn’t traveling with a bike—and provided no way to proceed with buying the actual ticket.

The workflow is confusing, appears to be broken, and leaves users unable to complete a simple purchase. An app for a national railway should make buying a ticket straightforward, not force users into a dead end.

Response from developer

We are so sorry for that, but a ticket from Copenhagen to Malmö can't be bought in the DSB App. You can only buy a bike ticket in the app. Next time when you need a ticket to Malmö you can buy it at the station. //Joelle

FAQ

What can I do with the DSB app?

The DSB app allows you to purchase train tickets, including Orange and Orange Free tickets, and reserve seats for your journey. You can also manage commuter cards, check real-time traffic information, and use a digital 'Check in' feature for flexible travel.

How does the 'Check in' feature work?

The 'Check in' feature acts as a digital ticket at Rejsekort prices, allowing you to travel on public transport in Zealand, Funen, and Jutland. You swipe before boarding, and the app will automatically check you out or remind you to do so.

Can I earn rewards with the app?

Yes, when you buy a ticket or check in through the app, you can earn points on your journey. These points can be used at 7-Eleven at the station, provided you are logged in with your DSB Plus profile and accept the points terms.

What are the costs associated with the app?

The app itself is free to download. The cost of tickets and commuter cards will vary. The 'Check in' feature is priced similarly to a personal Rejsekort, with age discounts applied for youth and seniors.

What if I have issues using the app?

If you experience any problems while using the app, you can contact customer support by calling 70 13 14 15. The support line is available every day from 7 AM to 8 PM.
