I wanted to start my own personal shopping business and found this app through ChatGPT. I thought, finally, an app that can help me slowly pull away from using Instacart. I created flyers and distributed them amongst my regulars. However, I’m having a hard time getting my customers to switch to Dumpling because of the app’s interface and the fact that it’s not very user-friendly for the customer. I received an order for Stater Bros, and my customer literally had to type in each and every item on her list! I felt so embarrassed with how outdated this app seemed compared to the other platforms. Developers, please do something about this!

The only downside for me as a shopper using this app is not being able to re-categorize things so that the shopping is smoother and I’m not scrolling back-and-forth as I go to each aisle. One example, is French onion dip. That usually in the dairy section but the dumpling app has it in the snacks. Even if it’s a temporary recategorization that is only in place for the order I’m working on. That would really help a lot.

All around decent app
All around, the app is decent. It glitches sometimes and periodically goes on and offline. However, it is a great tool for running your own shop and delivery operation. I wish there was a way to build your clients’ list for them as one of my customers had trouble navigating the customer app. Nevertheless, I would recommend the boss app to any potential personal shopper who wants to service their own customers.

Rip off
This app will rip you and your customers off with ridiculous fees way above anything Instacart charges. Trash app I promise you’re better doing it on your own instead of paying to use this app. I’ve done order that they had fees so high it took all my earnings and tips for person I shopped for and I still owed them money and couldn’t complete order. They actually suggested I charge customer more without permission to cover the rest that I owe lol. Please don’t use them

Lack of support
Dumpling does not have customer service support on the weekends. It’s very hard to reach someone. Last month stood at the register for 20 minutes trying to get the card to work. Discovered my 1099 is wrong by quite a bit yesterday, attorney said to contact them right away to get it fixed before they submit it because if not it makes it hard to correct, yet I’m told they will respond to me on Monday. Very tired of the lack of support for shoppers

The Best Platform!
This app has changed my life! I wanted to be my own boss with my own business. Finding them was everything!! They provided the platform including the store and website. Doing it on my own would have cost thousands! They offered personal coaches that were so supportive and showed me how to make a difference in my community! Grocery Order Lists
I dislike that the items aren’t categorized in each order by department. With every order, I have to reorganize and group. Frozen should all be in a group. Produce, meat, dairy, the same. It is very time consuming to reorganize so that I can shop efficiently, especially with orders that have 200 items.

Streamlined my business
Plus it unshackled me from the claws and idiocy of Instacart and I’m no longer getting hosed. It’s better to own the business instead of being treated like an employee with no benefits. Customers can count on ME showing up every time and I don’t hear complaints about “some other delivery guy”. I control my speed and I don’t have to make substitutions. I can just go to other stores to fill my entire order. Customers love me.
