No customer service number , or way to contact so be prepared
I was so excited to get this for my brother and SIL for their birthday present ! After seeing this advertised and some dates being set up thought it would be a unique present.
Since you have to use the app for your date I was trying to get someone from customer service to respond if I could pay ahead or even buy a gift card and I never got a response . I then went to the IG page that was advertising how easy / awesome this is and messaged , posted and reached out to Dates on Duo . Unfortunately I could never get a response or answer which is super disappointing.
Any new business or company knows that customer service is key and the first 2 years of customers are invaluable. Not getting any type of customer service just shows their customers aren’t valued . On top of that if someone does spend money and is using their service and something goes wrong , good luck getting a response or finding a contact number to get a hold of someone .
Thankfully found a similar service who was able to respond within 3 hours of the first question . Have purchased 3 additional dates since .

I can’t create my own account
I try to sign in with email and get to where you enter your birthday and where you live and phone number…I filled all it in correctly but the continue button didn’t work…I tried reloading the app again but it didn’t work…I really like the concept of this app but I can’t experience it or rate the app high if I can’t sign in…

Great customer service but Needs a more detailed questionnaire
The idea is great but the execution leaves something to be desired. We are moderately active people but our “surprise date” was rock climbing and neither of us are capable of doing that for more than 3 minutes. They did immediately remediate the situation and scheduled a new date that we are looking forward to.

Beyond disappointing
Wife was super excited about this. Wouldn’t stop talking about it. Buy a date with a budget if $800 that originally I believe she was told excluded food). Summer in Arizona isn’t the easiest to plan a date so she thought this was going to be something she’d remember forever (which may end up being true but unfortunately for the wrong reasons). First part of the date was fine. Underwater at the aquarium. Saturday worked for our schedule but Saturdays at the aquarium are jam packed. Really takes away from what we expected. We were then told to bring our appetite to the next part of the date. Which ended up being a picnic at Granada park…in July…. Charged $460 for a picnic set up with finger food plate that wasn’t enough food nor enjoyable. We were there less than 5 minutes. Plan your own dates. Google stuff. Don’t fall for this crap like my wife did.

Best Date Ever
My husband and I used this app to plan a date for us (we can never decide what to do) and it was FANTASTIC! A gondola ride with champagne and dinner! So much fun. Would highly recommend. Works for every budget.
First duo date
We chose a surprise date and couldn’t be happier! Went to a pottery class where we got to spin our own clay and create something together. Made such great memories tonight all thanks to duo!

Bad date
Had a date planned and thought it was going to be fun. When I got to the business they told us that we did not have a date or a reservation. The app took my money to schedule a date that I did not get to enjoy. Idk if it was the businesses fault or the app but it was a waste of money and made me look stupid. I don’t even know what the date was supposed to be, I don’t know what I paid for. And the dinner date for per two was a very expensive restaurant that I would not have money for to pay for both people.

Incredibly fun!!
Our date card read “take your relationship to new heights”! I gifted this surprise date to my husband for his birthday. He was very reluctant, but is now eagerly awaiting our next date! We were told to meet at an address and wear athletic clothes. We went rock climbing at a local gym and had a wonderful time! It was an activity we would never have done on our own, and was so fun to go into it blind together!

We loved our date
Emily was great! We had a clue “Your love is on Fire” we ended up going to a place where you make your own candles. “Paddywax”

We told everyone (owner and workers) at the candle store about the app and everyone loved the idea of the app. We had told the Dup app in the section of a little bit ourself that we have been married for 22 years and I guess they thought it was our anniversary so the owner of the candle store thought that … which was cute. It wasn’t but we told them it can be our first experience with the app so we are celebrating that . :) we will definitely keep doing the dates. It was exciting to leave the planning to someone else and just show up and enjoy our date. 100%recommend.

Membership Needed
I downloaded the app because I think this is a really cool concept. Especially the “surprise date” that you can do. However this is how they get you. You will need to get a membership with this app if you want to use the surprise date (of course with the membership is less expense). You do have another option to still do the surprise date without getting the membership, but it’ll cost you around $40. That’s not even paying for the surprise date activity.

We did our date. My husband was skeptical, but we went along and actually had one of the best days we have had in a long time. He’s definitely not spontaneous or adventurous and admitted he was glad he went and had a great time! We thought about altering it slightly, but stuck to the plan and we’re so glad we did. It was like a date treasure hunt and we felt young and in love again. Try it at least once, if you let your inhibitions go I think you will love it! We can’t wait till our next date!

Great inspiration to freshen up dates!
Downloaded the app for inspiration as we look to spice up our date nights. With 2 small kids, we tend to just do dinners out, but even seeing things like zip lining, even in the Midwest, that’s a great idea and found a spot 40 minutes away. Or horseback riding. Things that I know in my head, but can look into my local options.

Fabulous Date!
Our date planner Daan worked with my specific needs. It wasn’t as much of a surprise as I would have liked it to be because I sustained an injury that required more interaction regarding specifics. Daan was fantastic with communicating with me quickly as we had to make some last minute changes. If you are looking for a fun way to explore your city and enjoy surprises give this app a try. Absolutely loved our surprise date and the free tips as well. Finished our first surprise date today with a romantic picnic by the lake and ended it with an evening horse back ride with beautiful views. Off to a boat show next. Can not wait for our next surprise date!! Thank you!

Felt like we were on THE BACHELOR
Our date card told us we would be “getting hot.” I didn’t know what that meant, but it sounded exciting. We were given a location to drive to and showed up at what looked like a factory. We were told we would be meeting a guy named Justin there. It was a full on adventure. Immediately upon arrival, we were greeted and told we would be doing glass blowing. Justin showed us the ropes and made sure we didn’t hurt ourselves. I had no idea that regular people could partake in glass blowing, but with Justin’s supervision we made some really cool pieces. It was something I would have never thought of for a date and the app did all the planning and scheduling for me. It was just like an adventurous surprise date you would see on a TV show. We will definitely be using duo for many more dates!

Finding Hidden Gems in My Own Backyard!
Five minutes after downloading and I’ve found places to go to and things to do that I didn’t know were even possible where I live. They suggested “snowboarding” and it took me to a place near my house that offered indoor snowboarding and lessons to do advanced tricks. SO COOL. For a free app I’m very impressed and am excited to use it for booking plans with friends and my honey in the weeks to come.

A date I could have never planned
It was incredible what they put together for my wife and I. I’m pretty busy so my go to is always dinner and a movie and I could tell my wife was reluctantly and politely suggesting other things, but we could never quite find the right answer and always defaulted to dinner (at the usual restaurants) and a movie.
Well Duo opened us to a new, incredible restaurant and then a phenomenal experience (I don’t want to ruin the surprise) that my wife and I will remember forever. Thank you Duo!
