Dwelling with Dwelo is a Dream!
As an added value to Highlands Lodge living they installed Dwelo. Love it. Lights. Thermostat. Door entry. I really like just using the phone at at night while I’m bed to raise or lower the temperature. And I just integrated with Google Assistant and that works great too.

I have 2 complaints. One is very frustrating and the other is more of an inconvenience. My first complaint is that the communication with the heating and cooling system is unreliable. I will tell it to switch the temp from 70 to 68 and I wait but it never switches. I now set the temp close out the app and come back to see if it took. My other issue is that the boot up screen is bright white and when I go to adjust anything at night I’m blinded because that screen doesn’t respond to black out mode.

Worst app ever.
My apartment I had lived at for a year now, have these. And I thought it was such a cool, new add on to have in my new apartment. Cuz I’ve never had a system like this before, so I was excite to use one. But this app is genuinely disappointing. It constantly crashes. Never connects, yet my WiFi & connection is just fine. I thought it’d be cool to have a system where, if I want the a/c turned off but I’m in bed & too lazy, I could use the app to turn it off or on. But no, I constantly have to play with it, turning the on & off button on the app, for it to SOMETIMES finally connect & finally do the command I was asking. Otherwise, 90% of the time, I just get up and turn it on or off myself.

Most annoying app ever
Countless times has the app just crashed or refused to load. I just got stuck at the front gate of my apartment because the stupid app wouldn’t load. I literally had to jump the pedestrian gate to get home. I hate that my apartments use this app.
Doesn’t work except light
Lights work but the app works on lights AJ’s lock but not ac. Why?
Minimalistically decent
Just moved into a new apt that came with Dwelo functionality 04/2026. This is my first experience with smart home features and so far it’s been all positive. I would recommend some changes and updates to the app such as more customizable shortcuts and Face ID (or equivalent) to access the app & keypad code for added security & ease of access combined. Besides that I’m satisfied she’d haven’t any issues mentioned in the other reviews. Real person & experience in dfw if anything changes I’ll update my review 05/20/26.

Terrible Customer Support team
The customer support team is absolutely terrible. I’ve tried sending multiple messages waiting days in between, and have yet to receive a single response from anyone. Absolutely terrible.
The worst Hub system
I have use IOT hubs for a long time and this one is easily the least functional worst designed system I have ever seen. Is genuinely impressive how bad it is. Maybe the engineers had a stroke and couldn’t use their brain anymore idk
Glitchy and unreliable
The app and the Dwelo hub are consistently glitchy and unreliable. The app isn’t user friendly because it’s way too hard to do simple things. The hub itself constantly disconnects from the internet and is useless. If I wasn’t locked into using Dwelo, I’d ditch it for anything else.

Have reset my password multiple times and can access web portal but my I phone app is denying access! Why?
Terrible
My community uses Dwelo and it absolutely sucks. The connection to WiFi is always down. The code for the door never works. There are always issues with it. Honestly they need to go back to the drawing board. It’s trash and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. There are better apps out there.
Meh
Works about 75% the time, half of the time. Trying to use the thermostat it keeps turning it down to the current heat rather than sticking to the temp you’ve selected.
Won’t load available WiFi networks
The most important thing that the app must do—search for and show available WiFi networks—simply does not work.
It stays buffering on the screen, searching for networks for hours and shows nothing.
Funny because this is THE most important function the app must have and it is unable to handle the task.

Terrible
The app constantly disconnects for literally no reason, despite my wifi being fine and the device being plugged in. Absolute garbage.
Fantastic customer service agent, Mia!
Mia was wonderfully knowledgeable, patient, sweet, and a very enjoyable technician to talk to as she troubleshot my newly replaced front door Dwelo lock and worked to get it connected to my apartment. She was the reason my experience was so positive!
Setting up Dwelo system
I had the opportunity to get Mia to help set up my system. Mia was extremely knowledgeable not with just setting up my system, but with the multiple questions that I had for her afterwards. Mia was extremely polite and patient with me. It was such a pleasure to get somebody who took their time and genuinely explained everything without hesitation or frustration. I can’t thank you enough for helping me set everything up and making me feel secured. Thank you for making the phone call feel like I was speaking to a friend and not someone helping me a task.
