Should I— should I not

Truthfully I wouldn’t recommend this hire fire for several reasons. The number one is the fact it’s only 3 watts so only good for a good room for show. No heat to warm the room. Second … there is no remote control. It is controlled from your phone which frequently doesn’t log in. It’s a nightmare Really wish we hadn’t wasted our money. It was very expensive for what is is and what it offers

Another scam

Great con

Frustrated

This app is rubbish , don’t buy Evonics fires they are useless

Doesn't work

We spent a small fortune on the fireplace, the app has never worked, the standard remote has also stopped working and only way to repair is using the app...which doesn't work. Ridiculous

Fireplace doesn’t work

After 4 years the fireplace app no longer works. Which means the fireplace doesn’t work and it is built in to my house. We will have to renovate to replace!!!!! Just fix the app!

Won’t connect

Can’t connect to app?

Awful

Spent thousands on a fire that cannot connect to the app despite following the troubleshooting instructions. Fuming is an understatement

Rubbish app connectivity

The fire is great but the app is horrendous and never connects! Which reduces the ability to customise the fireplace. Yet another corner-cutting experience!

Useless

Worked for a few months now it don’t even load up it’s like they discontinued this service. Disappointing as the fireplace cost thousands of pounds

Terrible app, terrible fireplace

The lack of technical knowledge and support from this firm is terrible. The app never works. Don’t buy an Evonic fireplace. They are glorified hairdryers and you will regret it.

WOULD GIVE MINUS ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE

What a complete load of rubbish - I cannot use my fire because this app and the other e-smart app don’t work DISGRACEFUL

Not working

Find it bizarre how the app works on Samsungs but it’s not working on an iphone

Useless

As other users say, the app won’t connect to the fire. Constantly having to reset

App doesn’t connect thus unable to control fire

Improved my WiFi. Unable to connect fire to new wifi and now unable to control the fire. Do not recommend. Expected better and expect an app update considering cost of fire.

Worst company and worst app

BEWARE. Do not buy a European home electric fireplace. US customer service is atrocious. Complete scam of a company and will not repair fireplace unless you pay $350 an hour, even under warranty!

Dreadful app

One of the worst apps I’ve come across. Most of the time I am unable to get pass the first screen with the “searching” wheel. A real shame as the fires are great and a working app would be really useful

Update your App

When are you going to improve and update this app it is worse than useless do not buy the fire

Doesn’t load half the time!

When it works the app is simple, otherwise youre sat waiting forever for it to open and current it just doesn't load anything, stuck on the search page. So frustrating! The money you pay for the fire, you think the app would actually work?! 🤔

Frustrating App

Agree with the review above. The app is frustrating, takes ages to connect to the fire. Often having to switch the fire on and off at the mains. Hopefully this can be sorted as the fire is lovely otherwise.

Awful app = poor fire

App is unreliable - seriously bad UX and bad coding. Renders the £2000 otherwise well built totally fire hit and miss.

The setup process is also poorly instructed and the app seems to be missing the standard method to change background colours. Finally, too many apps in the App Store makes it confusing as to which app to use.

It seems the manufacturers are fully aware of the connectivity problems as they’ve produced a YouTube video to try explain the reset process. Apps can be recoded and fixed, but as I look through the review history this stretches back well over a year, so I doubt the manufacturer is invested in enhancements all things considered.

Ultimately, who has time to fanny around with connecting and reconnecting a fire? -who has the time to write a review? Answer: someone mightily p-d off!!
