A good app, but lacking in detail…

Update to my previous review, below: The app now shows battery state of charge in 10% increments, in other words 8 bars = 80%.

This addresses my only significant issue with the app.

My next challenge for the developers would be to be able to view this info remotely? Or even better, have it switch off at a pre-determined level? Currently you have to physically turn the bike off to see SOC, but maybe this is just not possible.

Great work – top marks!! Now for the next step…

Original Review:
In overall terms this app offers reasonably good functionality. My Orbea Diem is set up to use it as a display with the SP Connect system. Nice.

One thing that is unsatisfactory is the five bar indicator for state of charge, displaying charge in increments of 20%. If it shows three bars, is it at 60% or only 41? If I want to charge to 80% (with these batteries a general rule is to mainly keep it between 20 and 80) should I charge to four bars? If so, it might only be at 61% On the other hand if I go to five bars it might be at 81% or I could have gone all the way to 100!

Not really good enough if you want to get the best range from your bike while maintaining battery health. Could do better!

Needs main battery percentage

Nice app but would be much more helpful to have an actual percentage for the bike main battery. 5 bars is not enough. Update please Shimano.

Barely works

Garbage. Cannot customise the data fields so using it to monitor an ebike is literally impossible as the correct data can't be displayed. Has been a known issue for 5+ years and nothing has been done to fix it.
