Good app update would be nice
Basic app very straightforward. An update that would support widgets or even the ability to show up on your home screen would be nice

App is great, customer service is not
My EarDials were spectacular when they worked. Somehow the filters fell out as well as the gasket, and when I contacted customer support, my email went directly to spam. I am well within the year warranty. It’s a little disappointing when there’s no other medium to use to reach the customer service team.

Calibrates to your specific device
This is the only app that gives the same measurement regardless of what phone I use. Other apps don’t do that. Some of them are way different for different phones, and you don’t know which one is the right one. I don’t know why this one is different but it’s impressive.
App only works in total silence.
The app is supposed to tell you what the noise level is and how long you can safely remain in that environment without hearing protection. It only works in total silence, displaying the noise level ad 30 dB(A).
If there is any noise, the latest version of the app (1.4.0) it just shows a black screen and is completely unusable until you restart. This makes the app completely useless.
I tried to advise the manufacturer using the ‘support’ link in the app, but they reject any email sent to them, apparently classifying is as spam.

Wholly Inaccurate.
I Compared decibel readings with two other apps, and found this app always reads 10 decibels higher than actual readings. I am curious as to whether or not that is intentional on EarDials part to spur sales of their ear protection.

We are trying to have the most accurate results possible, however we found an issue that caused some iPhones to show about 10 decibels higher, and I think this is what happened to you. This has been fixed with the new version. Please try again and update your review. Thanks!
Great Ear Plugs
I work in light industrial manufacturing. The noise doesn’t quite call for traditional ear plugs. EarDial plugs are awesome. I chosen EarDial over Eargasm because I hate seeing Eargams ads literally everywhere.
