Go Ahead buses in Allerton
The buses are always late. Ever since they took over first buses who where on time they have never shown up on time. They are always about 20 mins late which affects the time I get to work.
Price gouging?
Put the price of their flexi 5 tickets up from £17 to £24! Get that times are hard but a £7 price rise, Really?

NOT! A Bus Service
I’ve waited many many many times now for buses which don’t arrive & here I am again left cold & frustrated. This isn’t a service it’s a punishment!!! Which I don’t deserve. 53 bus stuck in traffic, due to Gas works… so where is the service for people needing to get around???… 14:34hrs NOT ARRIVED & 1539hrs NOT ARRIVED!!!
Now I’m too cold & will take this further… missed trains & missed appointments, where does it all end? If there was snow on the ground I might have frozen to death at 69 going on 70yrs old…. Not good, Not acceptable.

Always friendly staff , buses clean and tidy and so far never had a brake down !!
On the buses
Usually on time sometimes a little late not their fault. Can be crowded at busy times of year. Drivers are usually very helpful with enquiries and we always thank them. Buses are always clean
Don’t waste your money!
I have purchased tickets on the app, went to use them and it took forever for the tickets to load. Once activated, the app signed me out and restricted my access, making me unable to use my ticket. I explained this to the bus driver and he said it was tough and that we would have to purchase another ticket. It was bus 893 at 3pm on the 24th August 2025. Rubbish app and terribly rude bus driver. I said I would request a refund and he said I would be unable to. Why?? Nonsense.

The information in the App is very difficult to find and not at all user friendly. I wanted to check times in the service from York to Hull but was unable to obtain this. Why cannot a search feature be included?

Doesn’t even let me track the buses as when I try to, it takes me off the app despite the amount of storage I have, cleared lots of storage and it’s still the same

The last few weeks have been HORRENDOUS for cancellations and late services. It happens. But this app needs to update and let users know!! Especially considering the bus call app (which was really useful for this) has been discontinued. Up your game.
Honest review
So this review is in two parts. First the app. 4/5 - there are some tweaks that would benefit such as up to date info about when a bus is not coming, but overall, once you are used to how it works it’s pretty good.
However… a bus app without a reliable service is like buying a pair of shoes but one is far too small to fit. Of little use. I can’t count the amount of times a service just doesn’t show up. Sure, there’s a live map when you turn on the route, but often the trackers in the buses don’t work so you simply don’t know if it’s accurate or not. I rely on the service for my livelihood - but after trying this for 10 months my conclusion is the service has got worse over time and now Im going back to driving a car again. Completely the reverse of what public transport is supposed to be doing. As I stand here now, with TWO buses having not turned up, I’ll have to get an Uber once again. EYMS sort it out before whatever legislation monitors service gets called in if it hasn’t already

App is shocking!
I use the app a lot especially working from 7am! You watch the buses to see where they are to make sure you won’t be late for work and ALL the buses disappear off the tracker and won’t re-show! I’ll put all my money into taxi’s which are more reliable!! Sort it out EY Buses

Would be great if the buses show up. 154 2 weeks ago did not show up 3 days in a row at peak time yet the 66 passed me twice and what’s more no one was on it! So what’s the point of having a double service within 15 minutes of each other and not replacing the 154 that did not show up.
Also emailed their ‘service email’ with absolutely no reply for 3 weeks.
Shocking service has been for years.

I just wish I could use my senior bus pass before 0930 so can get to medical appointments and not be limited to later than 1030 appointments. Hull residents have that advantage over us.
The app saves a lot of standing around at bus stops as you can see where the bus is and how many minutes before it gets to a required stop. Many thanks.

Great App
While the buses are often late, the app is really well designed. The bus tracking is super useful and I can plan when I can set off rather than rely on the timetable and wait around for a long time. I recently learnt that you can add the bus routes you use as favourites and it shows all the lines you’ve favourited and the live bus tracking.

£2 bus fare and tracker
What a service!!!! We are ditching the car in a regular basis now. Long may it continue! Just need a few later buses on the 24 route please but still giving 5 stars for the app 😊
142 service
Took a run out on the 142 Beverley to Middleton and return. Driver was courteous throughout and knew all the passengers by name and where to drop them in their respective villages. Made the journey very pleasant. Saturday 11-11-23 at 11:50. The only downside was it was the only journey not on the timetable displays at Sow Hill. Maybe something you could look into
