This app changed my life

My goal for so long has been to eat when I’m hungry and stop when I’m full. The updates this app has made with clear visuals of letting me see that data shows how far I’ve come and I love it so much!! Can’t wait to continue using it to be more in tune with my body and feel more confident. Cannot thank the developers enough.

Thank you very much for the 5 star review. This is the best thing a developer can read. Thank you for putting it so well.

Helping me eat in a deficit.

I struggle with emotional troubles like eating to deal with my feelings. This app has helped me with that since I downloaded it a few days ago. I’m actually eating in a deficit now.

Just what I was looking for

I have downloaded multiple apps to track my eating habits, I’m surprised I didn’t find this one earlier. So far this is the best one I’ve found. No calorie counting, just awareness.

Explore tool

Allows me to track potential allergy or problem foods w/o diet input

Helpful

I love this app. It has everything I need to feel better about myself and how I eat. Thank you for making it.

Easy and and

Non judgmental! Easy to use and even add a follow up meal pic for what food was left behind.

new update

i love this app it has helped me for over a year and is everything i was looking for in a app to help me get better

everything was perfect till the recent update, it kept kicking me out of the app every time i finished logging a meal

also a recommendation to make “bites” as a type of measure next to pieces and serving etc.

thank you so much

Major bug

Unfortunately this app didn’t work when I tried it. Nothing happened when I clicked on the “log meal” pizza button, making the app useless. I also was put off by the intro message giving the tip to not eat processed food. Thankfully I don’t struggle with that but most people come to intuitive eating after a history of disordered eating and food anxiety and shame. Don’t tell people how or what to eat.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience — we really appreciate the feedback. To log a meal, just tap your hunger level on the Home screen. That will bring up the food screen where you can select what you ate. We’ll look into making that flow clearer for anyone who skips or misses the intro. Regarding the message about processed foods, we understand your concern. Our intention was to highlight how certain additives can sometimes make it harder to tune into your body’s natural signals — not to suggest that any foods are off-limits or that there’s a “right” way to eat. We’re revisiting the wording to make sure it reflects an inclusive, non-restrictive approach to intuitive eating. Thanks again for your thoughtful feedback — it really helps us improve.

Really Helpful

I thought I was good at intuitive eating but this app has really given me some needed structure and also taught me that one “bad” meal really doesn’t ruin anything. Great way to visualise and also take a moment to make sure my meal is mindful.
Some tips that would be nice to see:
- Not all soft drinks are bad! I think we should be able to choose for these to be added to our total drinks.
- I think eating when you are “ravenous” is also not ideal and should not be encouraged, this has been an issue for me before where I wait until I am way too hungry and I think this does encourage over eating. I think eating at “ravenous” should be discouraged somehow.
- the app prompts you for a reason if you’re eating and you’re not hungry, this is good but you have to pick one level of hunger for this prompt to come up for? Unless I’m wrong. I think you should be able to pick multiple (e.g neutral, full etc)
- more articles would be great!
- I know this one is a big ask but a community on here would be so good where people can post and we can talk together.

Thanks so much I’m really pleased with the app.

Great App

I am new to intuitive eating and this app is great. It lets me log all the important things: food, satiety, fullness and movement. I love the “check-in” option, to track how my hunger fluctuates through the day. Would love to see the ability to add movement that isn’t tied to Apple Watch (manual add, similar to meals)

Insights that can help you make changes

I like the idea of tuning in to why I go to food, mostly to change my behavior and stop mindless eating. The app is easy to use. You record your hunger level any time you eat, and if you say you’re “neutral” or not hungry, you pick why you are eating. You can customize these reasons. There are a few articles to read to help you.
I wish my data would sync between my devices; this would add a star to my rating.
The “reports” are pretty basic, and don’t offer any analysis or recommendations, another thing that would add a star.

So helpful

I’ve been using this app for 10 days and already I notice a big difference in how I approach food. It has given me a lot of clarity about my choices in terms of satiety and how I space out my intake. I have learned a lot about what kinds of meals actually give me enough energy and how my hunger levels fluctuate. This type of gentle data collection has given me peace of mind knowing what is normal for me and made me more mindful overall. It gives me structure without feeling too obsessive. I also feel a sense of pride seeing all the beautiful things I get to eat and it makes me so grateful. It’s giving me so much more confidence… before I was filled with self-doubt and a sense that my eating habits were filled with chaos. Now I can trust that I can learn and move on and celebrate my wins.

Thank you for your review! We're so glad to hear that the app is helping you feel more confident and mindful about your eating habits. Keep up the great work, and we’re honored to be a part of your journey! 💛✨

Just okay

Not as user friendly as I was hoping for. Don’t really like how it still feels like diet culture. I was hoping it would be more neutral and just help you document the facts about hunger and fullness, satisfaction and gentle nutrition.

Fantastic App

As someone who is recovering from an eating disorder, I very much appreciate this app! It has helped me to become in tune with my hunger and fullness cues, as well as, see an overall picture of the food I’m consume throughout the day.

Just started intuitive eating and I've lost weight

Lately, I have had my appointments on the last day before January 1, 2025, and I weighed 236 pounds and was on my intuitive eating journey. I've been intuitive eating for a while and I don't weigh myself because I don't find it helpful for me. Because I am an empath and emotional person, I decided to attempt intuitive eating. It will take a while to get accustomed to eating food with intuition.

As humans, we’re emotional creatures and I strongly believe we all should trust our intuition in our daily lives, especially with nutrition, and our lifestyle.

The only feedback I recommend for this eating buddy app is to make it a time payment of $24.99 instead of a subscriptions. It defeats the purpose of using the app just for the features.

Overall, it's a great app for helping me to log my hunger levels and log the food and drinks I consume showing that I am being more intuitive with my relationship with food.

Eating Buddy is Well Name

This is a very useful, easy to use app. It helps me stop and take a moment to reflect on “am I hungry” before eating. You can check in throughout the day and look at end of day to see a summary of what you ate and drank. Many times, the summary has helped me realize I was better than I thought.

Actually free to use

I really appreciate that they let you use the main feature without paying. It’s always like “can I try the app first before committing 20 bucks a month?” And the other apps always say “NO! We only did this for money so pay up.” but this app politely lets you in and give you a nice freshly squeezed lemonade. It’s enjoyable to say the least.

Thank you for the 5-star review and kind words! We're glad this approach resonates with you and will strive to keep it that way.

Useful

This app has helped me identify whether I’m hungry or just stress eating so has proved invaluable in my quest to stop constant snacking. Three stars as I think it would be more useful if the notes and tags were displayed in the timeline. They’re a bit useless otherwise.

EDIT: notes and tags are in the timeline now so changed my rating accordingly ☺️. Thanks for making these changes.

Great App! Check In?

Love the app! So quick and easy to log hunger and fullness levels. I really like the features which allow to log/journal as much or as little as you’d like for any eating experience.

I have one question: what is the “check in” feature and where do I find it?

Thanks!

Response from developer

Hi Rvolak, we are happy you find the app useful! Checkins are a way to record your hunger/fullness levels between meals. They are meant to help you tune into your body’s signals throughout the day. You can find them on the home screen. They are the buttons with the pin icon, next to the log food ones. Please send us an email if you are having trouble finding them.
