User reviews

Poor!

The app kept crashing; repeated attempts to register. When I eventually did, despite the app offering an Apple Pay option, a message popped up (from Apple) saying to check as Apple Pay wasn’t available on the app! 20 mins of my life wasted!

Terrible charging experience

Stayed at Double Tree Hilton Coventry. Tried to start charging via scanning the QR code. Eventually got the details of my card to be accepted and verified via my Barclaycard but charge wouldn’t start. Tried to submit details via QR code again and page said I hadn’t completed all the information so wouldn’t proceed. Phoned help line but they had no idea other than to suggest I try the app. So I downloaded app and submitted card details but charge wouldn’t start. Rang help line and was eventually told the charger point I’d chosen wasn’t working. Connected to adjacent point and help line initiated start. Also told me the secret method to disconnect my charger cable the next day if I had a problem (which there apparently sometimes is). The signage by the 11 no. chargers were only to take your money. I have over £100 of pre- authorisations on my card (as well as the cost of the charge that I eventually made). A Tesla driver also came and went when he could not get it to work. I now know the one he tried to connect to was also broken. If the sign had said to check for a light on your selected charger at least some on the above could have been avoided. Management needs to try using the QR code method (Tesla driver told me that the day before he eventually got that method to work but wasn’t easy.) Just looked at App now I’m home. The search function can’t event find the chargers I used nor are they marked on the map. The search function asked if “London” was a real place, as it did all cities I tried including Coventry when I charged. I was delighted when prior to my visit I saw that Hilton had 11 no. 22kW chargers. The concept is fantastic and the future. The reality at the moment is amateurish and not worthy of being associated with the Hilton name. Sort it out please !
Update: the app is now working much better and the search function and my account details are now showing properly 🤗
