Great concept

I use this app daily for tracking injection sites. I wish it wouldn’t lag so much when you click a certain area on the body. 5 stars for sure if that is fixed.

GOOD APP

I choice this app because I wanted the original BD Logbook I had years go, but I guess that they aren’t being made anymore. In the first 5 min ive already run into multiple issues while trying to set up app. med list only shows what im guessing is a list of various insulins. NO by mouth or weekly injectables (Metformin or Trulicity) shown. instruction page isnt the same as the actual app (maybe that is due to my not entering any medication) instruction page shows a calendar and a clock so i assume you would be able to change dates/times. HOWEVER app just has choice of Graphs/Overview or History when I enter a blood sugar, it logs it as the current time, which is great except when you want to add either past entries or forgotten entries. (i was just diagnosed type II, two weeks ago, but no worries i had gestational diabetes in the past & im a retired EMT so i’ll figure it out), but still i would like to add these previous entries as well. When you tap on the blood sugar you entered you’re only given the option to delete the entry, not change it. So I guess that I’m at an impasse. EDITED: I have since been contacted by tech support and there was a way to change dates/time for your entered glucose levels. while i hope they will get around to adding a way to add other diabetes medications to the app, being able to change the glucose levels was my priority. it also allows you to pair this app up with other apple apps. too bad apple decided to get rid of apple health for ipad as i could see it better. i also like the fact that you can create reports of your history. so far this is more of what i have been looking for. thank you

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. Our app currently only allows the entry of insulin injectable medications, but we are tracking your request for additional medication options as a future enhancement. You can only delete a previously documented entry, but you are able to edit the date and/or time when documenting an entry in the logging screen. To change the date, tap on the date in the logging line, and then tap on the date again that pops up to launch a calendar. You can edit the time by tapping on the time in the line when logging as well. Please reach out to us at bdbriight@embecta.com with any additional questions. We are happy to help.

Non working app

The app worked great for a while but for the last 6 months it stopped working. It wants me to select a language and either create an account or select I already have an account. Neither button works. Would give this app a 5 star but you all got a 1 star because the app is unusable.

Response from developer

We are sorry to hear that the app stopped working for you. We have a new release with performance enhancements releasing soon. In the meantime, please reach out to us at bdbriight@bd.com with more details about the issues you are experiencing, and we would be happy to help.

I have been using this app for several years with no problems up until this last update.

No title

Was excited to see this app.....until I didn’t have the same meter. My Glucose meter is FreeStyle.
Sorry I couldn’t use the app.....✝️

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry the app wasn't what you were expecting. While we can only directly connect to the Accu-Chek Guide meter, we can also connect to Apple Health. If you share your blood glucose readings with Apple Health, we can pull that information into the app along with your steps data. If you have any questions or additional feedback, please reach out to BDBriight@bd.com and I'd be happy to help.

Don’t risk using this app

App was fine until it suddenly lost 5 months of data and there is NO customer support to help. FIVE months gone. It’s a big risk to use this app.

Response from developer

We are sorry you experienced this issue, please reach out to us at BDBriight@bd.com for assistance.

Needs more for meal tracking

This is a pretty good app for basic needs. You can track glucose levels, get some advice on ordering in restaurants, some basic recipes etc.

What I am really looking for is a way to track my meals more for a diabetic diet. I don’t seem to find this in any app that I have found yet. I would like to be able to log the number of starch servings, number of meat servings, number of fruits servings etc... for me, trying to track a balanced diet throughout the day is more important than just counting carbs. I’m allowed so many starches, so many meats, etc. per day. This would be a really big help in this app and I would give it full amount of stars if it had this feature.

Improvements needed ASAP

Hello BD Briight app developers, This app needs to have a section where I can add specifically what I are for the day (it can be free style so I can add what I need to add as far as what foods and portions). Also, it needs a section where I can add how much insulin I took and what other meds I took throughout the day. And if I forgot to add something yesterday, I should be able to go back to that date (which at this time it’s not allowing me to do). This would make the app more helpful and effective in managing my diabetes. Thank you!

Cool idea

Content is really strong. The chat bot seems a little limited, but it did answer a bunch of my questions and direct me to interesting follow ups. I'm intrigued to see where they go with this.
