Decent, but overpriced as a result
The software & app are inconsistent. They work the way you expect them to maybe 70% of the time. For $150, that is unacceptable in my opinion.
When it works like it should, it’s great. It’s so quirky though, you never know what you’re going to get day to day, even if you charge it the night before. There are connectivity issues too making heating delayed.
The Charging plate & mug are well made though. The mug holds a charge for a solid amount of time.

Cant pair bluetooth
Cant pair mug- tried all the support suggestions. Seems to be an app issue- please fix the app.
The app is a scam.
Cannot connect mugs to app and my preset temperatures lost. This update does not fix it.
Won’t pair anymore.
Have used numerous times since purchasing. All of a sudden will not connect to Bluetooth. Can’t even use anymore

App no longer connects
Just like many others, my app will no longer connect to the one mug that will actually pair with it once it pairs up. I’m unable to even pair my second mug any longer. Wish I could roll back the update!!
Terrible
Most recent update makes the app unusable. You send an email to yourself to create an account but when you click into the email it routes you back to creating an account again. You try to pair the bluetooth and it finds the mug but then doesn’t actually connect.

New upgrade is a downgrade
Since updating to newest version of the app my cup keeps disconnecting from the app. Don’t recommend this product anymore, they have gone backwards
Bloated
All I’d want from the app is a way to monitor and set my preferred temp. So why is the app bloated with stuff I don’t care about and why is Ember asking me to sign in? For what reason should I need an account for my heated mug?
Good product, horrible app
The controls for the mug are not intuitive at all, and there is zero instruction on how anything works. Really poor app design.
Unable to Pair
Apple phone 16 with current Ember app and Ember mug, absolutely unable to pair despite numerous attempts. Broken software? Not worth your money if unable to get it to function.
Stopped working
Used to be fine now I need to repair every time I want a drink and all tabs and menus say there is an error. Looking at the long list of negative reviews I’m guessing I’m not alone.
These things only work when they’re convenient. The second you give the public pause to think about whether they need it you’re toast. No more smart things!

Unreliable
I love my Ember mug when it works. I am definitely a babysitter of drinks, so this works fabulously for my coffee and my tea. However, it is not reliable. Sometimes you get a nice long stretch where it’s working as it should. and then other times it reads empty, or the temperature is not adjusting properly. Here’s hoping that the next update will provide some long-term to stability.

Not operational - Complete Failure of an app Update.
Most recent app update rendered my Ember mug useless. It cannot pair successfully. After pairing, I’m met with a blank screen with no other options. So now I have a piece of junk mug that I paid good money for all because they decided they need to update the app to collect our emails and introduce new bugs. How was this not tested prior to release?!?!? Complete incompetence

New update not working
This was a Mothers Day gift last year and I have loved using it. After this last update however, the apps no longer work. I can’t even sign in. I am deeply disappointed.
Mug won’t pair
I have tired multiple times to pair my mug and it stays on the same mug screen where the only options are to start over or exit out. I can’t regulate the temperature of my coffee which is very frustrating.
App update bricks mug
Mug required re-pairing after update but now the app cannot find my mug. Performed factory reset and still unable to re-pair mug. Strangely the mug still remembers last temperature setting even thought it is no longer paired to my iphone. Unsure how to resolve this issue Ember needs better QA with these app updates

Fix your app connectivity issues
Haven’t been able to pair my mug since whatever last update these guys did this sucks.. the mug gets recognized on Bluetooth, but the app is unable to finalize the pairing.. What kind of company is this? Surely someone from the development team can fix this relatively easily.
