love the simplicity of the app but have a small request: may we allow longer timeline for the study hours history section on the left? I can only access my history of study hours within 2 months but I also want to check my study hours happened a year ago. Shamely it cannot be shown....
What’s happened to Emphasis?
I’ve paid for the Emphasis app since late 2023. I dearly wish I could continue using it as I loved its simplicity, but it’s become oddly prescriptive and less customisable. Such a pity. I don’t want soundscapes playing, but apparently they can’t be turned off. It’s no longer possible to insert time of day periods. The app now feels rigid and programmed according to a single user’s preference.

Do not like the latest design
The design is getting more and more unclear… it’s becoming very hard to visualise how many hours you spent on doing certain work in certain weeks or months and you cannot see month on month easily… and if you want to see what you did in previous month, you have to click 5 times more than before to locate the study hours…. Also I don’t seem to find any way to tailor the colour or sounds of the profile . I have used this app for more than 2 years and its design is getting worse and worse. I regret paying for the membership.

Good but could be better
Pros : you can see timings of sessions, access stats and see your time spent across projects over weeks/months
Cons : startup time ( when you click to start the app) takes unacceptable long for no reason even on an IPhone 16Pro. This means if I go to start another session the app will take ages to start, so now there's a 5 minute gap between back to back sessions for no reason.

The new update is extremely glitchy
The app was so beautiful and functional before but now after the sonic sounds or whatever update I’m not able to properly clock in a single session; after I long press the timer the screen freezes, I can’t do anything or tap at anything or go to settings or pause the timer. Also one other very annoying design flaw is that when I want to look at yesterday’s focus situation I can only see my respective sessions but there is no place that shows the total time I focused for, on a specific day, say 18th November, I can’t see the total hours focused, I can only see the different sessions; what is the point of that? If I can’t even see how much total time I studied for (that’s what I use this app for) on a specific day?

Hey, thank you for reaching out! sorry for the bug with the long tap crash. I'm working on the fix, it will be available to you soon. In regards to total time stats in the day screen - you're absolutely right, I'm going to bring it back.
