App works, but not needed?
The application works well. To scan the QR code you have to line your phone with the green dot of the scanner and hold there for a few seconds without moving. It isn’t instant.
With that said, the readers seem to accept credit cards by tap. So with a credit card or Apple Pay it is not needed.

Horrible
QR code almost never works or if takes forever too has potential but no one to make it well.
App doesn’t work
I bought 10 tickets on app & they don’t scan on any bus, at all. (I have activated them). The bus driver was actually screaming at me when my ticket wouldnt scan and I was trying to explain that it wasn’t working. Lol a horrible experience.
Edit: I have now been emailing with them for OVER 2 WEEKS to get a refund and they keep telling me to supply them with a phone number that is associated with the ticket. I give them my phone number and they told me a new number is assigned on validation. I have no idea where to find this and have emailed back asking multiple times and they keep completely disregarding my questions.

App doesn’t work

Confusion
In the application, it clearly says that you need to activate the ticket prior boarding and you just need to show your activated ticket to the driver. Unfortunately the drivers have another rule and they will insult you if you don't scan your already activated ticket with the scanner onboard, which don't work well with those mobile tickets.

Tickets don’t register
I have the app and bought 10 tickets. However, they don’t register when I get on the bus.
Issues fixed as of 9-22-24
I was able to buy a new ticket, add funds, use my ticket, use tap to ride…all
worked. This is the app Valencia is recommending to use. As of 9-22-24, it works beautifully.

Worked quickly within minutes of boarding bus
First time to Valencia, and unsure about how to use the bus system. After boarding, bus driver helped us with the name of the app. After quickly downloading it and registering with credit card, bought 6 tickets for my group without any delays or issues. It was helpful to have the app tell you not to activate ticket until boarding; they last for one hour (you get unlimited transfers during the duration of the ticket). Bus driver was kind, and happy to keep us on the bus while I figured out the tickets.

Why release an app that doesn't work
I don't understand why they would release an app that doesn't work.
The first thing it says in the app when you download it is that since October 2022 the app is not working. Why even have it still up in the app store.

This app stole €20
Tried to make two 10-trip purchases on two different phones. Got same message: "Unable to confirm purchase. Please check your ticket wallet." No tickets in my wallet but my credit card was charged.

More expensive than Metro Card
A multi-pass ten pack on a physical EMT card is only 8.5 euros. The same will cost you ten euros on this app. Other negatives- you will need to show the digital ticket(s) to the driver and wait while he prints a paper receipt for each one. Also, tickets in the app expire in 90 days, but not so on the physical card.
